  1. A/C, air conditioning, turning off between cold restarts

I typically turn everything off, but I have noticed if I forget, they will be off upon restart. Same with Magneride: regardless of the previous setting, it will default to normal (primarily for safety, but also to keep loads low versus making an immediate adjustment. See below). I feel it's...
  2. Mysterious unused connector in engine bay

About as long as an accessory (A/C, alternator, etc.) belt does: a general service life of 50-100K miles, 80-160K kms. A lot will depend on the driver and environment. Someone who does primarily highway driving, not much effort is needed to turn the linear screw, pictured above. Someone in-town...
  3. Mysterious unused connector in engine bay

Specific to steering, attached is a photo and a tutorial on Ford's Electronic Power Assist System.
  4. Mysterious unused connector in engine bay

It's the Nanny Plug. The physical plug itself acts as a terminating resistor, a circuit terminator. Removing the plug :bandit: in the S550 disables nanny features, like traction control and steering assist. People who track or go to the strip will pull the plug while there. Below are some...
  5. When will we know 2026 MY changes? Colors.

Yea, sometime this Summer. Dealer awareness, Order Guides and other sales materials will need to be published and made available before order banks are opened. Production on most models as soon as October. HP-type cars would be built as soon as March/April next year.
  6. What to do with used DH Trofeo RS tires

Years past, the shippers might have had a freight option, for slow-mode. Since the pandemic, these transport chains are like two-to-three days. Shipping four tires will eat the cost of what they'd normally sell for, used. While it would be a wash, the seller netting little, if anything, they...
  7. What to do with used DH Trofeo RS tires

If you haven't already, post an ad for them in the classifieds forum here. Still a bit early in the year. As warmer temps and Summer approaches, I think you'll receive more interest. Edit, If you're pressed for time and cannot wait, look into city and county offices; many take the tires for...

  10. 2024 Production Numbers by Color ?

And you won't. Ford doesn't make information like that public until years afterwards. If they offered it sooner, the insight would provide indicators to competitors what colors, options, etc., were selling well, so they could then try to capitalize on that. Marti Reports are currently available...

https://www.newyorkfed.org/medialibrary/interactives/householdcredit/data/pdf/HHDC_2024Q4 The New York Fed generates a report once a quarter, focusing on household and consumer debt. Of the entire report, see pages 11, 14, 15, 16, 18, 26, 29 and 30. Along with reasons listed previously as to...

  14. Warming Up Temp Ranges?

I can appreciate the concern. Sometimes, when merging into city traffic, I gotta go with the flow, which requires riding harder than I'd like until warmed up. It's something I'd like to avoid if I can. I'm not really bothered by it. It's just...IDK.
  15. Warming Up Temp Ranges?

Check. I make shifts "around" 3-4K until fully warmed-up. At speed, engine RPMs will be a bit lower. To compliment that, any accelerations, decelerations, upshifts or downshifts are smooth and a modest pace.
  16. Warming Up Temp Ranges?

I'm gentle with the car until the engine reaches 185 F / 85 C for a few minutes. I have a MT, but the following threads can give insight as to what people are seeing once their AT cars are warmed up. https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/lets-see-your-gauge-details-what-is-normal.161804/...
  17. Anyone know what this noise is ? 2 dealers didn’t …

🍿 I'll be interested to see if this topic develops into either of the following over the coming years: - Ford Technical Service Bulletin. Inspected parts determined to be wearing abnormally should be replaced - Ford Special Service Message. Like the BBQ tick, the sound is considered normal...

  20. Supercharger Questions / HELP

I do not have direct experience with a supercharger build. While not needing immediate attention, the build will have an impact on the cats. The increased stresses cause the internals to ultimately crack, breakdown and fail. Depending on the amount of power and how driven, they might last a...
