We are fortunate to be able to take advantage of a Mustang that Ford has just about wrung-out every engineering system that is possible to without getting really exotic (and expensive). These Mustangs are really works of art that are a riot to drive.

@Skye ..... agreed. Some European manufacturers use soft epoxies that are as strong as welds but will stretch to absorb contact in a high velocity event. McLaren is on such manufacturer.

@Paul's stable - Agreed. Over welding will reduce the contact strength of joint and possibly even the two related pieces.
