@Idle0024 ..... I believe you are correct. I ordered a Corsa Cold Air Intake kit with runners and clear boxes and the supplier (not Corsa) took a deposit. When I too read online comments I re-contacted the supplier and they said the delivery was "pending" I asked for a refund and received one...
No question that is decent BUT have you seen the video of the RSA Mustang with 2000HP (twin turbo) - the Lambo killer. Now that IS impressive. I've talked with the guys who built it and seen their videos including a Ford 150 that I think produces 1750 HP. They also re-configure 10R80...
@Stanzi ..... great item to have. I downloaded the pdf of the manual. It was cheaper but doesn't look as cool and no fancy cover. You can also put the link for the oem ford manual on your phone for reference no matter where you are.
You guys are awesome. So many great suggestions! Friend suggested I connect a set of booster cables to my battery and locate them under the front of the Mustang where I could unwind them and boost it without moving the car. As he noted just be careful to ensure they stayed isolated from each...
@GrabberB .....yes, that was my plan. I can not plug in a trickle charger as there is no outlet in the condo's garage and unless I kept the nose of the car off the wall I would have no access to put on my lithium charger pack. Also i can't back nit into the spot as it's against a concrete wall...
A couple of years ago we had to move my friend's 2021 GT (automatic tranny) while in storage. The battery had died and we could not access it for a boost. It was left in park so we didn't want to try to move it. We had to remove the shifter boot and slide a part forward to unlock the shifter to...
@BimmerDriver ..... I always appreciate the comments of others. I learn every day by listening to others' points-of-view and always appreciate the time taken by other posters to offer suggestions. As you correctly stated I could not drive GT to test it in gear under load on the highway. I did...
.....my 2024 GT does not make any non-engine ambient noise. Friend brought over two meters he uses for commercial HVAC installations in sensitive installs - hospitals, computer sites etc. The instruments can read noise and vibration from well beyond both ends of the human hearing spectrum and...
......no the S650 GT does not have "fake engine sounds" put through the stereo or anything else. Simply because that is not needed with a 5.0. I have heard that some iterations of the ecoboost had that.
I store my 2024 Mustang GT convertible from November to April. It's in a condo garage that is protected that is usually about -10 Celsius but can get to -20 Celsius on the coldest days. I can not plug it in and condo charter prevents anyone from doing so anyway due to fire potential. So - I...
We are fortunate to be able to take advantage of a Mustang that Ford has just about wrung-out every engineering system that is possible to without getting really exotic (and expensive). These Mustangs are really works of art that are a riot to drive.
@AZ_Ryan ..... if it was anyone else I'd be concerned but because you are a very knowledgeable car guy I know you will account for those short drives by more frequent full synthetic oil changes. 4 miles is a very, very short drive. I can easily see battery run down in a 4 mile drive...
I have probably just jinxed the crap out of myself but my 2024 GT 5.0 has no "tic", maybe because I always have the techs (for all my vehicles) pre-fill the oil filter. However my 10R80 does have the "supercharger whine" so I guess win one lose one.
Getting an oil change isn't rocket science. I use my dealer to avoid $hitbird quickie oil changes - where what you describe is common. Geez, why cheap-out on such a vital engine insurance. I request that the tech pre fill my oil filter. This prevents a host of potential problems. The service...
@Skye ..... agreed. Some European manufacturers use soft epoxies that are as strong as welds but will stretch to absorb contact in a high velocity event. McLaren is on such manufacturer.
@Jaredc ..... I would have the dealer remove it then they would be liable and they should know how to remove it. I would worry that if left on it would discolor over time. What I haven't heard of makes for too long a list but I haven't heard of a dealer applied windshield film. I have heard of...
