@60 years. Are these K&Ns oiled filters? If they were I wouldn't put them on if they were free. Many have opined that oiled filters flow decently for a couple of weeks then their performance drops off dramatically and if not maintained religiously then they are worse than OEM paper filters. IMO...
Sounds like the BBQ tic to me. Have heard the tic many times. If it is there is no harm being done to the engine long term according to many owners on a huge number of threads. Can come from the factory like this or start at any time. There does not seem to be any kind of pattern to its...
@armyGT ..... not so fast, brother. I got an amazing trade fro my 2024 GT on a 2026 GT and that dealer is known for a sharp pencil deal making wise and business wise. They gave me a great trade-in price because I have maintained my GT well and they know they can sell it soon after it hits the...
You are buying a Mustang for the feeling you get - sound and fury. I have owned an Austin Healey 3000L, a Porshe, Supra Turbo and an XKE. NONE of them were as much fun to drive as my 2024 GT ( I am now awaiting the delivery of a 2026 GT that is in transit to the dealer) the XKE may have been...
My dealer had 10 new Mustangs on the lot with more (including my new 2026 GT premium vert) soon to arrive. I haven't seen that big an order from them for some time now. Maybe they know something about pending demand?
30 days if it is a rub on rub off wax. For a spray like mentioned above you would be fine as your car likely sat at Flat Rock (the plant) for a few days, was then shipped by rail and then by car to your local dealer. You'll be ok.
@2026FX ..... any options above standard fare c - and -0 an take longer. IMO the two biggest factors determining how fast your order is processed is how many vehicles your delaer orders from Ford, particularly Mustangs -and- what order priority your deasloer assigns to your order. Big dealer...
Have been storing summer "sports" cars, over the winter, for decades. I put fresh synthetic oil, gas stabilizer and 91 in them just before storage. I start them about every four weeks. I run them until the engine reaches operating temperature and keep it there for about 20 minutes. I cycle...
@Will2 ..... I am sure you know the Camaro and Mustang share the 10R80 as a common transmission with one minor i=change where GM added some sound deadening material. Otherwise they are the same.
American Racing Solutions in Boynton Beach FLA will build awesome transmissions for Mustangs that will handle 2000HP. Agreed, that run would have hurt a stock 10R80.
I have the TSB for the repair too but had not had it done yet as there was no evidence of water. Now, if the deal goes through, it will be traded on a 2026 so I'll let the dealer take care of it. I did speak with a dealer Tech I trust and he said the sealant was a polyurethane sealant that...
@armyGT ..... it involves removing the cowling and applying a sealant, which should be allowed to cure. A friends took a day and he had to clean excess sealant off his cowl. I have heard of misaligned cowls and damaged ones. I would ask my dealer if they had done one yet as I wouldn't want to be...
@krisk ...... IMO a wise choice. Tracking using a 5W-50 is wise. We always recommended higher viscosity oils on automotive and race engines we built. BTW my uncle a chief researcher for a major oil company (not Ford) said Ford FULL synthetic oils tied or beat every oil they tested for flashover...
