@60 years. Are these K&Ns oiled filters? If they were I wouldn't put them on if they were free. Many have opined that oiled filters flow decently for a couple of weeks then their performance drops off dramatically and if not maintained religiously then they are worse than OEM paper filters. IMO...

@Will2 ..... I am sure you know the Camaro and Mustang share the 10R80 as a common transmission with one minor i=change where GM added some sound deadening material. Otherwise they are the same.

American Racing Solutions in Boynton Beach FLA will build awesome transmissions for Mustangs that will handle 2000HP. Agreed, that run would have hurt a stock 10R80.

@krisk ...... IMO a wise choice. Tracking using a 5W-50 is wise. We always recommended higher viscosity oils on automotive and race engines we built. BTW my uncle a chief researcher for a major oil company (not Ford) said Ford FULL synthetic oils tied or beat every oil they tested for flashover...
