only on non-MagneRide equipped vehicles. with MR the S550 and S650 both restrict steering modes when not in normal or slippery. for some reason now all the S650s work like that too, not just the MagneRide ones
i really dont understand why they limited the steering and suspension modes like they did. the F-150 Raptor, Bronco Raptor, and Ranger Raptor dont have this limitation, though they use FOX Live Valve suspension instead of MagneRide. i really wish that they would bring parity to their "active...
i cant recommend the Recaros unless this is going to be a mostly track or track-only vehicle. by getting them you are sacrificing all power functionality, all memory functionality, heated and cooled functionality, and comfort. you would be paying an additional $1650 for less stuff than what...
i run 325/30R19 front and only rub a small outer edge bit of my tire on the front of the fender liner when at steering lock. you might be alright? but i cant say for sure
i went ahead and looked deeper into this. based on what the wiring diagrams and workshop manual says, making the DRLs amber might mean aftermarket headlights. ill do a bit more experimenting tonight and see what i can do, but the answer does not look good
edit: 3 more hours of nothing. this is...
i have personally never heard of them, but it looks like their site was registered September of 2022 with Squarespace. they claim to be a CA-based company and their contact number is a CA one. no address to see where their business is. looks like it might be run by a user on here @Eric0w because...
i will always swear by the Pilot Sport 4S for warm weather driving. its a great tire in the dry and rain and lasts a while. mine have so far lasted ~6500 miles and 6 or 7 autocross events
been doing more experimenting with Forscan, i got the performance shift indicator and launch control to work, and even change the min and max RPM for both. unfortunately, launch control does not work on autos due to a lack of a clutch pedal input. i also found out that likely many vehicles with...
the long block for a Gen 2 Voodoo is $18,098.67 retail from Ford before any parts department markup with a $3500 core charge and 11.6 hours of labor.
assuming the dealer does not mark up the long block, the old engine is returned, and the customer has to pay at $195/hr, total is about $20k...
went out and tinkered with Forscan, changed a few things
- DRLs now come on with the parking lamps
- Gear now displays in both drive and manual instead of just manual
- Changed speedometer to the GT500 220mph one (it does not work with the km/h mode)
- Swapped out vacuum gauge for a boost/vacuum...
and that is exactly why Ford does not build the handling package until warmer times. hopefully that got marked as transport damage so the only bad news is the 1-2 week delay on the replacement tires if the owner goes to Trofeo RS again
today i tried to put some 2020 GT500 paddle shifters (that i also tried to put on my Mach 1) on and replace the factory ones. the connectors are the same, but for some reason they just dont work. they didnt work on the Mach 1 either. i have no clue why they didnt work, but i can tell you that...
