I modified the handbrake on my 1960 Morris Minor ute to flyoff style. It didn't turn it into a rally car though.

They call it a drift brake now, but back in the early rallying days it was a fly off handbrake. Instead off pressing the button to release the locking pawl, pressing it activated the pawl to lock the handbrake on. So you could just yank on the lever and lock the rears without the lever locking...

I was shocked at the torque spec too, then discovered they were 21mm nuts. I doubt they'll ever come loose.

I'd risk a broken windscreen than a film that distorts vision. On a dark rainy night you could end up with a broken car.

That is absolutely nothing to worry about. When mine was new the level was halfway between the dots. I then discovered that is the correct level, and you cannot exceed the top dot. Keep calm and carry on :thumbsup:
