I ran MW50 (separately injected 50/50 methanol water mix) in a supercharged, non intercooled MX5. I could then run normal spark advance, not the 5 dgree retard Sebring advised, but engine temps did not change. Any cooling effect seems to be in the charge and combustion areas only.
Jeez, a complete diff? Why can't they rebuild yours? It's easy enough. Replace the damaged bits, new seals and bearings, set up preload etc, job done.
Do modern Techs not know how?
That's interesting. I had PS5's on my last car and liked them a lot, steering feel was better than the P Zero PZ4's that were on before. But quite few reviews rated them lower than than PS4S for "enthusiastic" driving. I've also seen vids of cars running them at the 'Ring succesfully, as long...
I can't say I've any complaints. I've had PZ4's on two cars now.
I did think Mich PS5's were better in some areas. They have lot of grip considering their low rolling resistance. I don't know how Michelin achieve some of their results. I think it involves a cauldron and an old hag.
I don't know what the Tech did, but it has noticeably better throttle response at low revs, and the trans shifting seems better (more responsive)too. This is in normal mode.
The only reference on the invoice is to using their Diagnostic gear.
It's also important to find an alignment shop/guy that does track set ups. Many just follow factory specs and don't know the tweaks that can be done to correct problems at speed.
What I think accentuates it is the raised styling lines either side of the hood that are in your peripheral vision. It looks like they are the edge of the hood that is moving
100 - 200kmh in 10.1 with only 446hp. Then our cars with 40hp more would be sub 10 secs which is not hanging around.
BTW. I think the car's really a '24.
I was quite impressed with my dealer. I asked them to physically check trans oil level, the Tech said he'd not seen one low out of quite a few Mustangs they'd done. So I said don't bother if they don't think it's needed. Then they did it anyway. All's well.
I'd asked for the car at 12, it was...
