I watched at least a half dozen or more at the track last year and they all ran mid/low 11s, that’s the real world real owner numbers. I don’t car about laps. Turd. That YT vid is a hero run miracle pass, possibly even some sort of shenanigans

I think those oversized GESI cats are like 800 a piece plus custom installed. they are pretty much the only option, but expensive AF and you need to “know a guy” that can install. Great choice though

If that’s the case, I’d expect the tune to be even more neutered than the original stage 1. Lower rpm, safer shift schedule etc…

cats aren’t safe with boost. I know of plenty cars in the 8-900 RWHP plus range that are stock OPGs

That’s a good shop, some of the aftermarket cat constructions seem to be even weaker than OEM. It’s nothing to play around with when you’re talking 12:1 compression and another 12-15+ psi.

This is why I pound the table about off road headers. I know it’s a hassle and smell, but E30 kills the smell. And I’d say off road headers are a must over OPG’s 100 times out of 100.

I’ve yet to see anyone compare a tune dyno numbers to stock E30 dyno numbers, especially on a manual, in a 10R80 car I get it, you’ll gain from shift points, trans tuning. I don’t think a stick car will gain anything with a tune other then reduced throttle input lag, even if they raise RPM...

I wonder if the rails are choking flow at that point perhaps.
