Im going to say .....the problem with the Mach 1 was that it followed the GT350...... not that there is anything wrong with the Mach 1 - I love me a Mach 1 HP car in Eruption Green......
I also wouldnt get too crazy on saying the people are lining up the door for the Dark Horse either- same...
Id rather buy a Dark Horse then a Hellcat
Hellcats are just too....big ...I get it ....awesome drag cars but way too big for any kind of cornering fun.... it feels like your driving a lowered truck instead of a car.....
Camaros - cornering fun is there but I just dont like the visibility...
I think there are some similarities in model line ups
GT = 911
Dark Horse/Mach 1 = 911 S (lots of performance upgrades over base 911/GT)
GT350 = GT3 (high revving NA motor focus on handling)
GT350R = GT3 RS
GT500 = GT2 (forced induction performance)
GT500 CFTP = GT2 RS
GTD = 918...
Good point- but even if you took the more robust parts and subtracted out the cost for the EcoBoost parts- how much could the variance really be?
I cant imagine a driveshaft for a GT is that much more expensive then that for an EcoBoost - same for a larger radiator - or shocks even....Im sure...
To follow up with what you are saying
Coyote crate motors look to be around 11K with EcoBoost Crate motors around 5K - so 6K difference just in the motor......I kind of doubt there is another 8K difference in the transmission and rear end ...what other differences are there between the...
But its so much fun being a keyboard warrior and pretending like we are smarter regardless of the facts that they probably have access to data we could only dream of lol
Well I think they should keep fighting and your taste in beer is great for a college kid.....
sorry I kid I kid lol
but if we are talking about alcohol I do have a few suggestions on beer you might enjoy......lol
My predictions.....
GT
Dark Horse
Some supercharged car w the Predator DCT combo that has a slight bump in power over the S550 GT500 and styling hints from the GTD
I like the Dark Horse but hate the name.... I mean if you are going to get rid of Boss/ Cobra exc. you might as well get rid of...
or they could be renewing it so Dodge doesnt launch a new cross over EV and call it the Boss
that being said....would be REALLY cool if they launched a new Boss - but I think it would overlap with the Dark Horse
Maybe this car wasnt designed for the S550 owner....
Maybe this car was designed for the non-S550 owner....
Maybe they knew the changes in the car wouldnt be enough to get S550 owners to switch so they went more radical with the screens to attract a new type of buyer...
Maybe the only people...
On the 500 I can feel the extra weight of the blower over the front wheels/ the additional weight...I had a PP1 and I can tell the difference between it and the 350R .....but lighter wheels on these cars make a huge difference .....that and tires....
I should also mention that on the street -...
Understand completely.....there is only 1 dealer I let touch my car ....the rest are garbage.....the one dealer has specialized staff that only work on certain cars.....
I will say this.... the service experience is MUCH different going to a Lamborghini/ McLaren/ Porsche dealer (also MUCH MUCH...
I have seat time in many high end exotics and I'm sorry but the base model GT in stock form is not even in the same stratosphere performance wise...
If you think the handling on the base GT is excellent... there are a few cars you should drive that would change your mind ...
EVs are a viable option if you own your own home and can charge at home.
Until they do something to beef up the infrastructure .... unfortunately outside of the Tesla charging network ....most other networks are not exactly reliable... they are also time consuming
If I lived in an...
