Does anyone have a video or image on how they hooked the ground up in the Dark Horse? I took a peak under the hood when I was working on the RTR Hood Vent and saw that it is very different from previous gen. Looking to perm install my CTEK so I can plug and walk.

Three of my Velgen wheels arrived yesterday. The 4th one is stuck somewhere off in limbo.
Apparently they tried to deliver twice? Oddly enough it doesn't show the FIRST time they tried to deliver and the second time my son was home and didn't hear anything.
Looks like I'll call the local UPS...
The stuff arrived from Amazon this morning. It fit no problem thanks man.
Anyone else reading this thread be warned you need an allen key and not a T20 Torx like the video says.
Other than that the fitment is about 95% so all things considered it's a win.
Thanks. I’ll check out that post. In fact I’m going to need to go through this thread more thoroughly to get a parts and tools shopping list together. Those connectors look like I’ll need a soldering gun lol
Installed my RTR Hood Vent today. Had some issues with the instructions not being accurate but we are on our way to fixing that tomorrow as I ordered some M4 x 14mm (0.7 mm thread pitch) from Amazon.
Looks good.
Matte black
Quality is decent
Instructions were wrong (use an allen key, don't try...
They will be delivered tomorrow. Home Depot (local) didn't have them so Amazon did and for cheaper than Home Depot.
I'll post back here tomorrow if/when the issue has been resolved.
It still looks great I just want it to be perfect is all lol
This is about as close as I can find (14mm). Anyone wanna group buy on the other 99 of them?!?!? LOL
iexcell 100 Pcs M4 x 14mm Thread Pitch 0.7 mm Stainless Steel 304 Hex Socket Button Head Cap Screws Bolts Kit : Amazon.ca: Tools & Home Improvement
Ha! So yours was an allen key too and not the T20!!!! Damn.
Ok, now I need to hunt one of these down on Amazon and order. Thanks so much for that man! Been stressed with my first world problem since that thing dropped LOL
Damnnnnnnnnnnnn, you got the tools to?!?! I was actually just looking up on how to read thread pitch. Unfortunately the RTR Hardware kit doesn't really tell you squat. The video said M4 but that was it. I was about to bust out some tea leaves.
You have it on your 2019 Mustang GT or you have a...
Well, if you know the screw size let me know!!!! LOL I have 1 that I need to replace so only 3 out of the 4 are installed.
Did yours screw in with the T20 like they said or did you have to also use an allen key?
Correct; they are matte black.
I've reached out to both CJ Pony Parts, via their contact form, and RTR, via their ASK A QUESTION form, and will see if one of them can tell me exactly what size M4 button head screws are used and I'll buy something off Amazon.
It's about 95% of the way there. It does fit differently than OEM but there are no gaps and the only issue was the incorrect instructions resulting in one of the screws dropping down into the engine bay and sitting on the underbelly pan.
Looks better. I don't believe there is any functionality...
That is exactly what it was. I had an allen key that worked. I have the vent reinstalled (below).
I'm still short one screw though so hoping someone knows what these button head M4 parts actually are in length. I'd rather have all 4 installed LOL
On that RTR video the assembly hardware comes...
I'll check that out @erocker and report back.
If the @RTR Vehicles have a parts list somewhere please let me know, once ya'll are back from Florida that is LOL
So bought the RTR Hood Vent kit from CJ Pony Parts. Arrived fast, quality is good etc. etc.
After some initial issues getting it installed (due to parts, not quality) here are the results.
The RTR video says you need the following....
9mm socket required
T20 torx socket required <----...
I was looking at Kooks with the green cats for my DH. What is the reason for the coating? Keep them nice looking or is there some sort of actual functional reason for coating them?
