Why? There are many reasons for owning a Mustang, in my case practicality was a factor too with the large boot and folding seats. Ownership is about what you want it to be not what is prescribed by somebody else.

Yes but even the most efficient V8 driven gently, whilst better than a large heavy big engined SUV is miles behind what a smaller engine / hybrid can manage. My wife has a Ford Kuga PHEV which can easily manage 60mpg as a hybrid (ignoring the pure EV running when charged which is even cheaper)...
