  1. Don't sell the H or X pipe only short

I’m in a similar situation, 21 year old trapped in a 61 year old body. I also have 6 speed manual with non-active exhaust. But I went the opposite way with the exhaust mod, left the stock resonator in place and added a Roush Axle back. Probably same noise level (I’m guessing 30% louder) as you...
  2. 2025 9.5 qt oil capacity vs. 2024 10 qt

5w-30 semi synthetic possibly with an additive (XL-17).
  3. 2025 9.5 qt oil capacity vs. 2024 10 qt

Only for the EcoBoost. GT still shows FL500S. This is from 2024 owners manual: This is from the 2025 owners manual:
  4. Challenger or S650

Being more of a Mopar or no car guy, I wanted a pony car not a muscle car. Mustang wasn’t the first but is now the last. My other car is a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon for when off roading is needed. My ā€œother vehicleā€ are a couple of Harley’s. Mustang is for on roading when the weather is too hot or...
  5. 2025 9.5 qt oil capacity vs. 2024 10 qt

Any idea why Ford reduced the oil capacity in the 5.0 by 1/2 quart?
  6. Corsa… AWE…. Borla…

Wanted to improve performance and sound, but didn’t want excessive noise. I was going to buy a resonated X pipe, but the one I want isn’t made anymore. While I found one used on OfferUp, I happened to see the Steeda video on how h or x doesn’t improve performance that much on a s650 compared to...
  7. Corsa… AWE…. Borla…

I went with just Roush axle back. They sound great. The highest DB I’ve seen is just over 95 on a cold start, which is the ā€œdrive byā€ spec. Didn’t want to do x or h pipe as it looks like they don’t add much power in the s650 (there’s a Steeda video floating around that did a comparison vs. a...
  8. 2025 Mustang Owners Manual now available

They reduced the oil capacity from 10 qt to 9.5 in the 5.0. Different oil component parts or just a spec change? Also, they’re still showing FL500S oil filter. I thought that part has been or is being discontinued.
  9. Tune Update?

What I am wondering is if Ford Performance will offer a 91/93 tune like they had for the S550 eco’s and GT’s.
  10. Why did you choose an automatic over a manual.

    - Saved $595 (plus tax on that) $1595 auto - $1000 gas guzzler tax (can’t believe I had to pay tax on a tax). As a ā€˜Merican that’s enough for a free gun. - 4th Mustang, all were manuals 1974 4 cylinder, 1988 GT, 2022 Ecoboost (got rear ended) with a supposedly shitty MT82, 2024 GT also with a...
  11. Will an active exhaust work on a non-active vehicle?

Understood. I went with the classic Roush axle back dual tip bought new/used (bought/never installed for a S550) from OfferUp for less than $500. Easy install with a sawzall and Rhino ramps. I also opted for black tips, looks stealthy. Such a deep rich V8 burble sound, sounds great. I believe...
  12. Will an active exhaust work on a non-active vehicle?

To answer the original question directly, the active exhaust will fit a non-active car (with valence mod or replacement), but the management system in the car that manages the valves won’t work (even with wiring harness updates) since the computer is basically locked down. So you’ll need an...
  13. Wtf is Jaguar doing?

IDK, maybe go back to the basics. Offer a 6 or 12 cylinder manual transmission sport/touring enclosed coupe or drop top car with a real wood dash embracing some retro Smiths gauges. Have an exhaust that goes from purr to roar. Old is new again. Not here for quickest 0-60, just that traditional...
  14. Inside stock resonator

I just wonder why Ford didn’t engineer that in, e.g. cost/time vs. regulation. Also, why not either put in H or X downstream of the resonator or replace with a resonated crossover. I love the sound of my exhaust (Roush axle back) and don’t want any additional potentially obnoxious noise.
  15. Inside stock resonator

30 seconds into this video it shows the inside of a stock S650 GT V8 resonator. I didn’t realize it’s basically 2 straight pipes without an equalizing crossover like H or X pipe. The screen capture shows one side. Makes me wonder why Ford wouldn’t include at least an internal H. Maybe...
  16. Dark Horse has a Gen 3 Coyote?

The one part that I really wonder about is the deconstructed Livernois F150 Gen 4 head has a multi-layer design where the upper portion holds the cam vs. the single layer in the AED version from the DH.
  17. Strut Tower Brace 2024 Base GT

No difference in handling with mine, base GT though. My 2022 Ecoboost felt more planted and nimble.
  18. Missing nuts on top of strut

Which begs the question, is there any functional reason to retain the engine cover or is it for 'beauty" only?
