I'm not disappointed in the S650 in the least. However, I will gladly jump on the BMW bashing bandwagon. They used to make some of the most beautiful cars on the road. Yes the M2 is atrocious. But the M5, M8, and to an extent the M4/M3 are gorgeous cars.

While we're on the topic, everyone is bitching that the F150's ECU is locked. But the Explorer ST is wide open 🧐🤔 so in my personal opinion, I don't think the S650 ECU will be locked. Not directly related to your question, but wanted that our there.

You know, reading through posts on IG and FB, it generally seems to be the older crowd that likes the car more than the younger crowd - which is hilarious given that Ford apparently used primarily Millennials in its focus groups giving the final design the green light.

No confirmation S650 ECU is locked as of yet though. It wouldn't surprise me, but I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere.

I'm an older guy, and have a deep appreciation for previous gens - and I love the car. So do a lot of the older gents in my track group. I think you're off base claiming only young people like the aesthetic.

Very interesting read. So, I'd just like to point out that the filing is "just" for crate engines. However, there's nothing stopping Ford from employing such a motor in a production car.
