I would disagree with the salesman wanting you to have financing in place. They prefer to have you finance at the dealership so they earn off that. Less to be earned off a sale when customer pays cash or has outside financing.
Exactly this. It's about the transport, not the parking spot. They move cars around if necessary. It's not like the truck driver pulls up to the gate, says Im heading to Kentucky, and the guard says take a few from that lot over there.
Your car might have been assigned to another truck that...
19:30 main commit means they're trying to build the allocations they gave to dealerships. See video
Other way around for PP: no scheduling PP unless it is retail.
I think it's up to the regional ford rep to tell the dealer a DH allocation can be scheduled and the dealer tells the rep which one. That's at least the way it worked a few months ago when they asked if I wanted to change my options to get scheduled.
But with the stories on here of folks...
Good news about the retail over stock priority on DH. I saw a dealer near me that has a DH with blue window sticker in transit. My guess is they initially wanted to get a few stock orders built along with retail. Now it's just customer orders to clear the backlog. My prediction is as reliable...
That's an automated e-mail that isn't actually tied into anything tracking production. Pyroguy is still getting those e-mails for his 2023 Mach 1 they haven't built yet.
so don't use the delay e-mail as a metric for what's going on with your car
Exactly the point of this post. Even on this forum we contradict each other. With cars actually in people's hands we won't be relying on youtube journalists and speculative media releases.
Now that some are taking delivery, can yall help provide answers to things we have been getting different feedback about? And just some things no one really knows?
Here are a few off the top of my head:
Some of them are model, trim, or option specific
Which cars have USB port on rear view...
You know the irony for those avoiding blue ember because of its popularity on DH? They end up choosing a color that is available on every car on the road.
looks like they've paired up with barrett jackson. there's a trailer talking about a classic vette, so i'm a little confused.
EDIT: looks like it's a timed upload (for right when the embargo drops?) of the unveil, not a live stream
Are you talking vinyl like a wrap or ppf? I'm going to assume ppf based on the price you mentioned. I'll likely do ppf on front, hood, behind wheels, and near door handles. Graphene the rest
Not in the current scheduling period. Remember in the other graphic Newface posts that GT PP can be scheduled, but it's only for retail orders not dealer stock.
There are only 1500 retail orders outstanding per this report. Over the life of the Model Year, they'll build more. It's just...
I spoke with my sales lady earlier this month. she didn't give any hint that one of their DHs was being scheduled. So I also sit with tempered expectations for the next few weeks.
