There’s another thread where they discuss the procedure in depth. Subject has “BMC Recall” if you’d like to search for it. From what i remember, procedure requires applying sealant under cowl regardless if it has a current leak or not, they then test to make sure there aren’t’ any leaks.
I'm hoping to find a dealer here like yours. I’ve been reading the BCM recall thread since the beginning, and man some members had to leave their cars for days, some even had to wait for a new windshield when their dealer broke it during the fix (the fix apparently requires yanking on the...
I’m asking members for their experiences with getting it fixed (specifically) at tristate dealers. I am not asking about the recall.or the procedure itself. Purpose is to use a dealer someone would recommend as it is posted in the tristate sub forum.
Has anyone had the BCM water leak recall done yet? Could you share which dealer you had it done at and if they were able to return your vehicle the same day, and maybe your overall experience with the dealer?
Has anyone did the diff oil yet? I have the standard 3.15 GT LSD Differential; the one with the clutch pack, not Torsen. I plan on using Amsoil 75W-90 severe gear oil. It has some friction modifier in it, but I’m not sure if what’s in it is enough. Had anyone did this work yet? Did you have to...
I wish they made full length that sits 1/8” below the pinch weld which would completely protect it from shop lifts where they just use wide metal lifting pads.
Looking at the video posted by Steeda, is it me or is the jacking rail above the pinch weld (thus making the rail a moot point)? Flier says flush for full length but it doesn’t really look to be flush.
I had two windshield claims with my insurance, around $3k each (for a bmw) and my rate has not changed at all.
this is Brooklyn NY in case that matters.
Can you post the oil analysis report you got at 5k? I had dealer change oil at 1k and couldn’t get a sample. I’m waiting for 5k to do it myself and I’ll take a sample then.
Hi,
I randomly get "hold steering wheel" warning on cluster while driving (twisty highway so I am actively steering), the same one that would come up if adaptive cruise control with lane centering was active. I don't use lane centering or cruise control, but do have the options. Is this typical...
Hi. I’m not joining, but wanted to provide my 2 cents on what I look for in a dash cam as a user who has never driven one since 2012 (since an incident that jacked up my insurance rate for years to come).
4 channel camera sounds good, but to fit all that recording into a single microSD, I’m...
The tailpipe heights are different between the passenger side and drivers side. Passenger side is sagging lower. Anyone has had this? Is there an adjustment I can do?
I took the pictures from a height, although passenger side looks more rearwards, it’s actually just sitting lower, thus the...
From my own experience, it’s nowhere close to German options with its refinement. I don’t think it’s a software thing but I may be wrong. It’s like it has too many gears in the mid rangle that has way too close gear ratios, and the torque converter lockup requires more pressure (throttle) than...
I wanted to check under the carpet for moisture, but I ran into something odd with the trim. The door rubber weatherstrip seems almost stapled or pinched into the plastic door sill plate. It isn’t really tucked underneath like I expected. I pulled the sill trim up to release it from its clips...
