I have put in N while coasting in my buddy's long driveway to rev the engine to announce my presence. It sounds better than the horn but the engine response is insanely slow it will hardly rev at all even when you command full throttle. It's really disappointing.
I would pay for tunning to fix these "flaws" in control and precision if they could. The car has plenty of power and capability to please just about anyone. What it lacks is precise control of the throttle and transmission. It may come down to emissions in some cases. Maybe track mode works...
I would use M more often if it did not have paddle shifters. Trying to shift while also turning the steering wheel is annoying. It is difficult to hit the paddles because they spin with the wheel. It would be far better if the shifter were on the stick where you hit it side to side to up and...
It does seem to be beyond you.
I am OK with the nanny-like normal mode for my wife but I am not OK with the car not shifting when I command it to in any mode. The whole reason I avoid sport mode is because I am not able to make it shift when I want it to. It hangs out at high rpm like a...
I have notice the throttle delay and it really pisses me off too. Just when you are trying to make a proper exit on a tight corner and you transition from brake to throttle ,the son-of-a-bitch falls on its damn face for about a half second. it sucks the joy right out of chasing that perfect...
Great question. I had it the other way around at first and if you look closely at the pics you may see that. When I went to use the pump to fill the diff with fluid it was surprisingly slow. It took abut 45 seconds to move 1 quart. That pump is supposed to move 4- 8 quarts a minute. It is...
Some random images: The first image shows a tube splice union. That is where I will disconnect add a hose and use the pump to fill the differential from a jug. The thermostat switch bushing is how I will drain the fluid. I used a split nylon tube to cover the sharp edge of the bracket. I used...
I went my own way on the design and installation of a diff cooler. The pump and fan are standard fare from Summit Racing but the plumbing and wiring are unique. I wanted simple and effective. I placed the thermostat switch as close to the diff as possible. Most of the brass fittings were from...
My car used to get tail happy around corners especially when I would try to power out. The stop the hop kit solved that problem completely. I did the braces, spacers and busing gap fillers.
The oil will leak out as soon as the seal on the filter moves away from the housing. The bag needs to reach past where the oil is spilling while remaining open to
the oil will begin to drain once the oil filter seal breaks away from the housing. if you have a bag over the filter to catch the...
If you had a way to turn the filter without turning the bag maybe it could work. The easier thing may be to make a gutter out of sheet metal or an oil jug and use that from the side where I reached in.
Yes, it's easiest to remove the filter from the opening in the wheel well. You will get less oil up your arm. The problem is the oil will saturate the under tray and leak for days if you do not take the under tray off or give the oil a hole to escape. The piss flap worked perfect to guide the...
I am sure there are several ways to do it. I just did it the way that made sense to me at the time.

Update: I did oil changed and tried out the access panel and piss-flap. The piss-flap did a great job of directing the oil out and away from undertray.
I know they like to tease Hammond about his love for muscle cars but it's for fun. Normal men do that. They bust each other's balls for fun. At first It's a test to see if you can be trusted. After that it's a reinforcement of trust and strengthens bond. It's one reason their shows did so well.
It produces cabin heat according to the needle gage. This meanit blows cold air while numerical reading indicates 140F on cold start. This false floor of 140F has to be a bug. No way the PCM doesn't know the actual temperature. It runs too good at 10F to have the PCM thinking it's 140F.
