As @Bikeman315 said, they don't care, and if they do, they'll just go buy one. Do you really think if you can afford 600K for an SF90 that you can't afford a 200K Corvette? Spend some time on the Ferrari forums and you'll find that many owners appreciate cars of all makes--including Corvettes...
KBB says the invoice on a 2025 non-premium Dark Horse with an MSRP of $65,975 is $62,821. The MSRP doesn't quite line up with Ford's configurator though. You should be able to build one on their website using this link and it should give you MSRP, invoice, and their "fair" purchase price.
Good grief. It’s only one month, but still…
Regarding interest, I remember watching parts installation videos on YouTube from LRM, CJ’s, American Muscle, etc., all the time in the early S550 days. There’s barely any videos for the S650. I still don’t think I’ve seen a Borla install video from...
Unfortunately it wasn’t one off year—it’s basically been on a downward trend since the S550 debuted in 2015.
The fact that the Mustang only sold about 1,000 more cars than the Corvette should raise some eyebrows.
Comparing the MSRP of the absolute base level car doesn't really mean anything when most real-world builds for 2025 went up by $4,000-$5,000. Regardless, do we really need another thread on this? There's already a couple others discussing current pricing.
Inflation no doubt played a part, but the biggest price increases were in 2023 with the introduction of the S650 and in 2024 for the 2025 model year. US inflation in 2023 was 3.4% and in 2024 was 2.7%. Most real world builds increased by 4 or 5 thousand dollars for the 2025 model year. That's...
It’s not a coincidence that the prices started raising more than normal once it was announced that the Camaro and Challenger/Charger were going away.
Nobody is whining. The thread is about the worst sales year in Mustang history and many people are saying it’s because of price. Some people just seem overly defensive. 🤷‍♂
Unfortunately for Ford and Mustang fans everywhere, that strategy doesn’t seem to be working out too well for them, given the title of the thread we’re posting in.
I don't think that's always the case. I'm sure there are some people that simply can't afford it, but there's also people that just feel like the price isn't justified anymore.
I posted in a thread a while back about the prices that I was concerned that the price increases would do serious damage to the Mustang brand, and it looks like the sales results are backing that up. While I agree with you that people should vote with their wallets, I would hate to see the...
I think the issue is that the price creep means that you can price a GT--not even a Dark Horse--into base C8 price levels, which hasn't really been possible in the past. Part of that is just the fact that there are more options now than there have been in the past, but part of it is also Ford...
It will probably continue based on the price increases for the 2025 models, but there's likely a correlation between the amount of complaining on here and the Mustang having its worst year of sales last year. Maybe Ford should take note.
