It will (most likely) be fixed under warranty. But don't search for some anonymous people on the internet who will tell you it's OK to just drive it until it's convenient for you to take it in. Doesn't matter how much grease may or may not have been in there - you don't know.
Your car, your...
So if someone wants to test drive a vehicle before spending $50K or more on it, you label them as "abusers"? Completely absurd!
I had some respect for your opinion until that totally preposterous statement.
Today, tomorrow, or whenever: Most people who will own GTD don't want or need a test drive to help make up thier minds. Most people who will own a GT or DH will.
No, I am not assuming what any if these future owners drive today. That's irrelevant.
Replace with upgraded half shafts in preparation for getting that Whipple! :like:
Seriously ... get it looked at sooner rather than later. You don't want a failure to damage something else.
Respectfully disagree. You can drive a nicely appointed GT and get a great feel for a DH, but driving the top DH won't get you within miles of driving a GTD.
FWIW, people who can afford a GTD don't test drive them. They already know what they are getting.
My folks have been buying and driving Lincolns in Vencie and North Port for decades. He retired from Ford. No issues like this that were related to the heat. :)
I doubt there will be a DTC for that, as all that is happening the car thinks the door is being opened.
If I had to guess, I'd say that there might be a short or loose wire somewhere.
I had to replace the hub bearing assemblies all the way around. "Service AdvanceTrac". The wheel sensors can't pick up the signal from the ring in the hub -- the ring that falls apart and is no longer a complete circle. #$%#@ I spent over 14 hours on that job!
What's not intuitive about pressing and holding one of the (virtual) preset 'buttons' in the (virtual) present button panel until the current station has been stored there?
I must be missing something here.
Again, if the alarm is going off, that's not an error, per se. DTCs are stored (and retrieved) when bits aren't working correctly and are causing issues. Only way to know is to run an OBDII scanner on it. That's part of the reason I own one.
So they don't call it FordPass? LOL. It's the same app, so if you have it set up to send an alert when the alarm gets trigged, it should alert you - assuming this is supported for her 2020 Lincoln. I have it set up for my Ford vehicles in FordPass, but have only "accidentally" set them off a...
I can't even fathom me changing the badging on my $70K automobile because some strangers ask/asked me about the car. But ... whateves.
P.S. - Don't open the doors when they are around. Sill plates, projection lights, etc. :)
New generations always start that way, @DCS. My 2021 F150 was the first of the generation, and it took a while for most of the good stuff to get sorted out. Same will happen with the S650.
I actually bought my OBDLink adapter back in 2016. I used it (with FORScan and other applications) on...
Gotcha.
Yea, bottom line, anytime your splitting hairs with HP 'changes' in the single digits (and even in the early double digits), they might as well be honest and call it "no appreciable difference".
