The S550 had a different splitter and undertray for the GT base, Performance Package level 1, level 2 and Mach One.
I cannot find out whether the S650 GT front splitter and undertray is different going from GT to GT Performance Package.
I think it is the same, and only Dark Horse has a...
Good question. I did have adjustable lower control arms in the back on the S550, but I was led to believe it was not necessary and the rear had enough adjustment range. I have not verified this info as I already had the parts.
I will not be adding adjustable LCAs to my S650, I'll just get it as...
I'd get a manual Corvette. I know AWD and DCT options are more performant, but I want to be integral part of the performance equation. Even knowing it means slower times. If a car has AWD, I'm not interested it's not for me.
With a setup similar to your on my S550 I used: 2.5 degrees camber front, 2 degrees rear, zero toe front, 6.8 caster, 0.30 total toe rear, zero thrust.
I will be doing the same thing with my S650.
I ordered similar options (GT Premium, 6 speef, PP, Magneride, Recaros, Active Exhaust) for my own track car in July and was told (last week) I would "probably" get it in the spring.
I had a UPR catch can on my S550 (passenger side). I kept it thinking of would fit directly in my S650. From your post I get the impression I'm better off selling it and getting a new one when it's developed for the S650? I imagine it's probably going to be the same (excellent) can with...
Best= rear part of the car.
Worst= headlights. I wish they were bigger like the previous generation.
And I prefer real dials and switches over touchscreens but I'll live.
Excuse my ignorance, but what is an over the air update?
A software update that you get if you connect your phone to the car?
Can you get over the air updates without knowing it?
I was given every assurance that my S650 would not communicate back and forth with Ford if I did not want it to...
Oh thank you! Yes it's normal TC and SC to go back on when we restart the car, that's how it was on my S550 I see no reason why they would have changed it. I'll download the manual thanks for the link.
If you're just driving around, with the occasional track day thrown in here and there, you probably cannot find a better tire than the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, the Continental Extreme Contact Sport, or the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3.
I personally use the Michelin and love them.
I've also tried...
On our cars, the go-to standard for track is four wheels 19x11 ET 52, with a slide-on spacer in the front to achieve 26mm offset. My wheels came with 56mm offset and they're fine. It's the front offset that's critical because with the proper offset and camber you only have a few mm clearance to...
