JIT. Ford (and other OEMs) don't want that inventory on their books, so they only have suppliers deliver parts on an as-needed basis.

This is Ford we're talking about, the automaker that issues recalls for their recalls. Even with this 3 week idle of S650 production to supposedly work out the kinks, I have no doubt there will still be a recall on it.

The more I think about it, I wonder how many foks who are unscheduled clean have the Magneride. I haven't seen anyone whose build has been scheduled explcitly say they ordered it, and any mention of it has been left off the work stop / restriciton updates. That could have something to do with...

That makes sense though because you're on Canada. The order books did open earlier than 3/27 there. The other user (per their location) is in Kansas.

Just for sh*ts and giggles, I checked again today with the Ford Performance Chat Support and I'm still Unscheduled Clean. Since they're now apparently scheduling July builds, we'll see if I (and others) make the cut that month in the coming weeks.

I purchased a brand new Mustang back in 2017 (6 years ago), so maybe there are also time restrictions on who they target as well if they're sending this incentive to past customers.

Just speculating, but maybe he gave his dealer the order on 3/10 (since the price/order guide was available) and then the deler officially entered it 3/27.

That's quite optimistic if they're in the US, lol...
