And to be clear, the intention with my posts isn't to bash Ford or be a Debbie Downer.
I have family who currently works for Ford, was born/raised in a UAW family in Detroit and all the vehicles I owned have been Fords.
That said, while I love them and they will always have a special place in...
The part shortages are real to an extent, that's true.
That said, without revealing too much information, I work for another OEM (direct competitor to Ford) and our plants / dealers aren't experiencing the work stoppages that Ford continues to deal with. The vast majority of COVID-related...
As someone who works in Purchasing, who works in the Auto Industry and who's worked for Ford's CSD in the past, I can tell you that Ford voluntarily choosing to shut down their own factory has nothing to do with Supply Chain issues
Supply Chain issues implies Ford is having problems getting the...
As long as we're not left waiting a long time for our S650 orders to be built/delivered like some of the Bronco6G owners on the other forum, we'll be sure to keep up that positivity too!!!
This is Ford we're talking about, the automaker that issues recalls for their recalls.
Even with this 3 week idle of S650 production to supposedly work out the kinks, I have no doubt there will still be a recall on it.
The more I think about it, I wonder how many foks who are unscheduled clean have the Magneride.
I haven't seen anyone whose build has been scheduled explcitly say they ordered it, and any mention of it has been left off the work stop / restriciton updates.
That could have something to do with...
Just for sh*ts and giggles, I checked again today with the Ford Performance Chat Support and I'm still Unscheduled Clean.
Since they're now apparently scheduling July builds, we'll see if I (and others) make the cut that month in the coming weeks.
I purchased a brand new Mustang back in 2017 (6 years ago), so maybe there are also time restrictions on who they target as well if they're sending this incentive to past customers.
The "prior purchases not eligible" verbiage stands out to me.
Does that also apply to orders placed prior to this incentive but are undelivered?
Also, it mentions that's a personal code. So in theory, if you don't get the email with a "personal code" (as it may be something that can only be...
In Ford's defense, they can only build cars with the material they have on hand. So if someone ordered a spec on 3/27 that requires parts which are delayed or are limited in quantity, Ford has no choice but to push it to the back of the line.
Now, could Ford do a much better job with...
Just speculating, but maybe he gave his dealer the order on 3/10 (since the price/order guide was available) and then the deler officially entered it 3/27.
