Another good point.
The money you're not sinking into an expensive but depreciating asset all at once can be invested in other ways to generate income for yourself.
While off-topic, this is a good discussion. It has me thinking for sure, lol.
Besides being able to flip it or trade it in, the thing with financing is that it does help your credit score as well.
That said, you also have a point. It's just a sucky time to buy a car in general.
How the heck did you get a build date 1 day after placing your order, while a lot of us have been waiting 45-60+ days (and counting) to be scheduled? :curse:
I will say though, if the choice is between the Dark Horse or a GT with the Performance Package, just get the GT with the Performance Package as it will be cheaper than a base model Dark Horse.
While you may not track the GT, one thing to consider is that with it being a low-riding car, the extra handling/suspension support from the Performance Package will be beneficial if you live in an area with shitty roads, making for a smoother ride with less wear/tear on the Drivetrain.
Not...
If last week was any sign, I speculate this week will just be clean up for July (which means very few new orders getting scheduled).
Most likely, those of us not scheduled at this point will probably be scheduled for August at the earliest.
But again, just making an educated guess...
Find another dealer.
If they're treating you like that now, i imagine it would only get worse once you place an order and when it's time to pick up your car.
As I said, a lot of the "Supply Chain Issues" at Ford are self-inflicted
