Sync 3 version 3 has in use since 2016. Version 3.1 came out in mid 2019. We are currently on version 3.4 which you have. Might want to check to see if you have the latest build #.
I agree about the switchware but since we’re not getting it the conversation is really pointless.
I’ve never found my Sync 3 to be slow or laggy. Now Sync 2 was a whole other story.
A lot. Just you wait and see. The orders sub forum is going to go nuts. And if 8% is the best someone can do then they shouldn’t be buying a new car of any kind.
The second screen takes the place of the Sync 3. It’s actually in a better, higher position. You shouldn’t need to look at it while you’re driving. That’s what voice controls are for. We’ve had screens for years so this is hardly a step backwards.
And bitching about how much the S650 costs. :giggle: But I see your point from a design viewpoint. Hopefully it will grow on us when we get behind the wheel. Remember a lot of folks didn't like the 401A digital dash but changed their minds after driving with one.
I have driven a couple of Mach-E's, including a GT that was a blast. Remember the Mach-E does have a dash in front of the driver, unlike a Tesla. That's what you look at 99% of the time. The tablet is just a larger Sync 3. You do get used to it.
My comment only pertained to the Mustang. The bottom line is it is 2022, not 2015. Unfortunately things have changed for us enthusiasts. There is no going back.
But as far as going somewhere else, fine, OK, if you need to. But pickings are getting slimmer by the day. US automakers are gone...
I think you are right on the pricing as it appears the standard DH will have premium Mach 1 equipment. We will know soon enough.
And remember you do not see the front end from behind the wheel. That's what everyone said after the 18' refresh. :giggle:
We've known for a long time that the S650 was going from a totally brand new car to an evolutionary update on the S550. You can thank Covid, chip shortages, inflation, Ukraine, my mom's apple pie or anything else you want. We got what we got. Love it, hate it, buy it don't buy it. That said...
