I would steer away from any dealer who takes orders for cars they know they are not going to get. Hopefully you will get yours but I would keep an eye on your dealer.
Seems that there are still numerous supply chain issues. From what I've read we are going to be in this until, at least, the end of the year and probably into 2024.
2 people go to another dealer. Also only "special" car models, (Shelby's, Bullitt, Mach 1 & Dark Horse) get allocated, option packages do not. And once the initial production is finished the Dark Horse will be readily available as well.
I couldn't say anything until today but Gary mentioned this at the Mustang Owners Museum on National Mustang Day. They are doing some really awesome stuff with the S650 and Dark Horse as well. It may not be everybody's cup of tea but it show strength in the Ford high performance market.
I presume you ordered a GT with the M6 prior to the 4/19 build sheet. If you did you need to speak to your dealer. If you ordered a Dark House It doesnāt matter as your paying the $1300 whether itās on your summary or not.
Exactly. Highlights are mine.
āYeah I think with lighting technology today itās so good and the LEDs are so bright and provide a very good amount of light, itās almost one of those things that we didnāt need to do,ā Christopher Walter, Ford Mustang design manager, told Ford Authority Executive...
Have you spoken to your dealer yet. Due to the nature of this situation Ford should allow you to cancel this order and reorder with the A10. That's if and only if the GT GG tax is really new or the whole thing was just a big mixup.
It was and it would be worse if it had the pre 18 gearing. But the S650 has more HP with the dual throttle bodies and Iām guessing thatās what put it over the limit.
And they cover themselves with disclaimers that indemnify them against any legal action. That said I certainly hope buyers get taken care of but I wouldnāt hold my breath waiting.
But Ford did not raise the price of the car. They added a tax that will be collected and sent to the government. The buyer does not have a legal leg to stand on.
The GG tax is shown as a line item option. It is not built into the MSRP. Iām not sure if you pay sales tax on it.
Edit: I meant to say that the GG tax is not built into the base price, not the MSRP. My bad.
