The steering system in the S650 is different than the S550 so feeling a difference is not unexpected. Schedule a test drive on a car from your dealer and compare. And while on that test drive checkout the brightness of the rear view camera.
Colors are a funny thing. I originally wanted Orange Fury for my 19’ GT. Found exactly what I wanted. Car was sold before I could get to it. Then moved on to Velocity Blue. Found the car. Was involved in an accident on the dealers lot so had to pass. Finally wound up with an Oxford White GT/CS...
Good point, especially with a child in the car. There is no way anyone is thinking straight under the circumstances. Hopefully Ford will do a forensic inspection of the car and let @Vaporblue24, and us, know what happened.
Good morning @Vaporblue24 and welcome to the forum. First off condolences for the loss of your Dark Horse. I cannot imagine the angst you felt for your car and more importantly, your daughter. Second, please disregard some of the posts made on here making assumptions and speculating without...
This is what happens when a thread runs its course. There’s nothing left to say on the original topic, for now, so we go off on non related tangents.
It is. No one here really knows what happened here. The clutch issue may or may not have had anything to do with the fire. All we have right now is speculation.
It's a long read, but if you really want to know.

You are overthinking it (Don’t we all). If you want to go full syn (because you want to) just do it from the get go. No need to wait. It’s only a few extra dollars. 👍
That's funny. I tore down the filter on my 15' EB and 19' GT/CS after 5K miles and both were clean. Same with the oil. Didn't beat on my car either. Well, OK, I did get on the brakes to seat the pads but that's another topic.
There are two schools of thought regarding break in. I've never, ever beat on a car during its 1st thousand miles and have never had an issue. But beating on a car, any car, can create issues you don't want. Either way there is no "need" to do a 1000 mile change but there is certainly no harm in...
My 19’ GT/CS just turned five years old and 15,000 miles. Boulevard cruiser with no track use. Oil gets changed at 5000 miles or one year. Always use syn blend. Oil always comes out clean and with no issues. Did the same with my 15’ EB with 51,000 miles. This was my work daily (75 miles a day)...
Check your current software version. If you are on 6.xxx then it’s the same for all models And you should get it.
By the way do you have the Fox Body option?
