Would like to know how the 2024 & up A10 is doing with boost. Would be great if folks would list how many 1/4 passes and how many roll ons their A10 has seen. Obviously both if this is case.
Issues, if any, modifications (trans coolers, etc.) and if your A10 has been rebuilt/beefed up either...
The way we broke in drag race/street engines in the past was to run them about 200 - 300 miles at varying rpm, keeping a 4K max limit.
Then you do some short full throttle runs to seat the rings in, and keep the throttle closed until you drop to an idle.
We did this 8 - 10 times spread over...
I own a 2018 Procharged GT and it uses less than a quart in 5,000 miles.
My 2024 is approaching 3,000 miles and the oil consumption appears to be non-existent. The level is always exactly on the max fill line on the dipstick.
How is everyone else doing on their 2024+ GT's?
So0-NaSYy is correct.
Cobb got fined over 1 million dollars for violating emissions standards. EPA is cracking down.
Like others said, the 4th Gen is pretty much maxed out and makes amazing power for a really small 307 cubic inches.
This is the only mass produced V-8 I know of that has...
I have no doubt the Whipple is awesome.
I am partial to the Procharger simply because I have run one on my 2018 GT for the past 20K miles.
It has been OEM reliable and virtually trouble-free. Mine is Wengerd tuned with his revised cam lobe separation upgrade and with a 4.63" pulley it...
dtillsstang,
Love that white!!!
Once my 2024 was through the break in, I put it in Drag Mode and drove to a brand new just paved black asphalt arrow straight road about 3 miles from home.
Traction control was on, while there was reduced wheel spin in 1st, when it hit 2nd the rear end broke...
If this tune only delivers on average a 25 whp gain, I'll have to pass. I doubt it will net much more than this. Not worth the money and subsequent labor some will have to opt for.
On the 10R80, it has never been a paragon of durability. Why do you think the GT500 comes with a 7 speed DCT?
I just installed the Thermal R&D on my 2024. I bought this because I absolutely loved it on my 2018 GT.
No drone, not loud with light throttle, but sounds like a big block Chevy with that deep throaty rumble. Idle is awesome.
But lay into it and you can't stop; it'll rip with heavy...
My personal experience is my 10R fried itself to a crisp at around 650 whp after roughly 15K. No drag racing, just some impromptu roll racing.
Read quite a few Mustang and F-150 threads where they got less mileage than I did.
2018 GT Premium with 33K, not a single rattle or squeak.
2024 GT Premium with 2,300 miles so far, not a single rattle or squeak so far.
Guess I got lucky twice.
I think if you keep it under the 900rwhp mark the stock transmission "should" hold up pretty well.
I am sorry, but absolutely no way. 900 whp is built ZF8 territory.
laserflorida,
Having more experience with the A10 in my supercharged 2018 than I prefer, I would say it's dependent on various factors.
With properly programmed shift timing and pressure changes, there is a good chance it can live with roughly 500 whp or less.
Over that with the stock...
The helical cut gears on my Procharger are barely audible. If you run the muffler on the blow-off valve, there is no virtually no noise.
Procharger (or any centri) is simple, reliable, and lighter than a PD, and I have nothing against a PD blower.
My P1X starts pulling hard around 4,500 rpm...
I installed a Thermal R&D Cat Back exhaust on my 2018 GT and absolutely love it. Deep, throaty rumble, quiet when cruising, no drone ever. When I lay into it is intoxicating. Beautifully made and fit like a glove.
I can't bring myself to even consider something else. So I ordered a 2015 -...
