I do not yet know how low. I am trying to learn from folks who actually know, what is possible? The idea, however, is to have a system that I can adjust, and maybe use a low boost for HPDE track days (5 psi?) and turn it up for other things (like making a grocery run :giggle: ).
I don't want to...
Papo, get out of the left lane.
Problem solved. :like:
Stated simply, stay out of the left lane, unless you are actively passing somebody to the right.
Drive to the right. Pass to the left.
I know you will be tempted to post excuses for each of these two situations I...
Also, the turbo is small. This is typical in OEM installations, as the factory does not like to have any turbo lag. A smaller turbo is better for driving around town. What happens in a performance application, however, with a small turbo is that you run out of breath up at the top of the rpm...
What about cooling modifications (Dark Horse radiator and better aftermarket intercooler)? Oil cooler? Camber plates? Adjustable rear camber bars? Bigger wheels with stickier tires?
Driver mod - seat time on HPDE track days?
Maybe a custom tune?
All of my searching on the internet reveals only information about how to turn the boost up, more boost, more power! Which is great and all, but I want to know, can I turn the boost down?
The answer is yes, but how far?
Can I, without too much effort, max out at 3, 4, or 5 pounds of boost...
My Trofeo RS recommended setting on the door jamb was 33psi cold. Two things. (1) they shot up to 46-48psi after 20 minutes on track, so I had to let a bunch of air out of them to get the best performance. (2) setting them to around 33 psi cold (I actually drifted lower cold as time went by)...
Are the "Sprint" wheels recommended for our Mustangs? I ask only because of the weight. These cars are not 3200 lbs. Street and/or track HPDE days only (with sticky tires and kerbs).
Are you guys getting a check engine light or some sort of dashboard warning regarding low coolant level, of are you just noticing the reservoir is low?
I wanted to ask those of you who have used Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires what you set for tire pressure. I have had these tires wear in the middle first (in the center of the tread rather than at the edges on either side). My Trofeo RS tires did the same. Accordingly, I have been...
Oooooh.
Well, then, Cali sucks. Guns and cars are my two favorite hobbies, and Cali attacks both of them . . . headers are really an automatic fail? I mean, no cats I understand, but headers?
Sorry to those who live there. I think it is otherwise an awesome state with great natural beauty.
Wouldn't he be slower somewhat equally on all of the cars, assuming your theory is true?
Also, if being 68 makes him slower, it is probably by fractions of a second. I mean, if you review his Wikipedia entry, he is still winning or placing things he enters, including as recently as 2021 and 2023.
This is a 6th Gen Mustang, 120mm pulley, no asphalt prep, but drag tires.
"So I got my new drag wheels mounted up , went an attempted 1/4 mile dragy pass. I just stopped in road did a very very soft launch in 2nd gear. About 100mph the car started shaking pretty bad and kept getting worse so I...
That is a huge difference in horsepower going from 125 to 120mm pulley, 632 horsepower jumps up to 711? 8 psi increases to 10psi. That seems like a mistake of some sort, not a real result on the dyno.
When you select options to order the 125 is 7 psi and the 120 is only 8psi, not 10. It...
