  1. Is the HD Heat Exchanger really necessary?

The Roush kit comes with a new radiator? What is it like compared to the stock radiator?
  2. Michelin PS4S Cracked and Ruined!

Ok, so just to be clear for the purpose of the thread, when you said on page 1 that you haven't had the cracking happen, you do not drive your PS4S in colder than 45 degree weather?
  3. Michelin PS4S Cracked and Ruined!

robvas, sorry, I should have asked right after you posted, but would you please share the conditions in which you drove the PS4S (temperature and such)? Thank you in advance.
  4. Michelin PS4S Cracked and Ruined!

Sorry you see this thread as some sort of personal affront. I am, however, actually interested in a thread in which folks post their personal experience with winter cold weather cracking in this particular tire (whether it happens or not). This is a popular tire choice with forum users here...
  5. Michelin PS4S Cracked and Ruined!

Michelin does say that, or at least Tire Rack does, yes. I assume that Tire Rack got that from Michelin, but I do not know that. It appears to be far too specific to be a general warning from Tire Rack, like their "not intended to be driven in" winter that they slap on every summer tire.
  6. Michelin PS4S Cracked and Ruined!

So one post so far that looks like to could be a personal experience with cracking PS4S due to cold temperatures. wesg79, did you replace the new ones before winter or cold weather arrived again?
  7. Michelin PS4S Cracked and Ruined!

I was asking for personal experiences, not just being a skeptic. Keep in mind that I have my own experience with PS4S in the winter. (on an AWD car that did not have 500 hp). This thread will be a useful reference for every visitor in the future considering tires. Thank you for responding...
  8. Michelin PS4S Cracked and Ruined!

I haven't ever had Sport Cup 2s, but the Trofeos get ridiculously slippery at 50 degrees! I am about to replace mine. I was thinking about the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, so I would like to hear if anybody has had this cracking issue that everybody on the internet is sure will happen. If anybody...
  9. Michelin PS4S Cracked and Ruined!

Ok, thanks, it is a good video for snow traction comparison, but please post personal experiences with these tires and cracking (or lack thereof) if you have experience with them.
  10. Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S Tires - these any good?

The Mickey Thompsons are a drag tire. If you are looking to go drag racing, they are probably a good bet if you have upgraded your rear axles. They are not intended for high speed cornering, but designed to launch from a standing start.
  11. 265/285 width tires on stock PP wheels?

Probably need to wait another year or so for wider availability. There are not that many sizes available today.
  12. Michelin PS4S Cracked and Ruined!

PS4S stands for Pilot Sport 4S. Do you drive on them? If so, have you experienced cracking as a result of cold temperatures? I have driven on them over several winters and have experienced nothing of that sort, in spite of all the online speculation and hand wringing. What about you? Have...
  13. Dark horse HP winter tire question (275/35/19s-F, 285/35/19s-R)

The actual diameter of the 315/30 R 19 is 26.5, so, wow, that online calculator is really close. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Pirelli&tireModel=P+Zero+Trofeo+RS&sidewall=Blackwall&partnum=13YR9P0TRS&tab=Sizes The All Season diameter is dead on. The up shot here is that...
  14. 265/285 width tires on stock PP wheels?

And one more piece of information just to add to the above discussion. The link I posted was to Tire Rack. I could not find information directly from Michelin. I had assumed that Tire Rack gets the information directly from Michelin, but I do not know that. It is merely an assumption. I...
  15. 265/285 width tires on stock PP wheels?

I also wanted to thank you and wesg79 for being respectful during this discussion. That behavior is rare these days on discussion forums and the internet more generally. Sincerely, I appreciate it.
  16. 265/285 width tires on stock PP wheels?

But, again, if I lived in New York, or, gasp, Ontario, I would use winter tires or snow tires and certainly not Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires. But I don't live in those places. Snow is a very irregular occurrence here, and I really do not have to drive in it with extremely rare exceptions...
  17. 265/285 width tires on stock PP wheels?

Well, at least with Michelin PS4s, which I have used for years, but have never experienced slippery, dangerous conditions in the winter as you describe. I also live in Georgia, so it is nothing like the experience of some others here posting in the thread, although it was 27° early this...
  18. Dark horse HP winter tire question (275/35/19s-F, 285/35/19s-R)

Please let us know how it works out, and post some before/after pics, so we can see how they look. Thanks!
