Regardless of any active sound enhancements…let’s take that out of the equation for a moment….
For an immediate fix, when listening to your podcasts, move your balance fader 100% to the front. I know you solved your issue by moving it forward more, but for just voices, you’ll notice a much...
It’s in a gentle take-off from a full stop where the difference is most noticable. The lag/ hesitation is gone with the exhaust in Track, as opposed to the other 3 exhaust modes. It just seems the whole car wakes up with a simple exhaust setting change.
Great idea, but what if throttle curve mapped to the pedal is completely separate from timing? Like what if opening the exhaust to Track also adjusts the pedal alone But doesn’t do anything with timing? I don’t know how that can be measured…. 🤔
Or like it seems so far with feedback here...
If there is active sound adjustment in the GT I don’t notice it. I pull in the garage and open the car door while it’s running and hear a nice rumble coming out the back while trying to hear any difference. I know …not very scientific…lol.
I’m still not sure if the programming code is just an...
IF the car doesn’t have Magnaride suspension I don’t think that’s possible.
And maybe like Ryan suggested, if anything, it might not adjust the tune, but maybe at the very least adjust the throttle curve mapping….or I’m an idiot. It’s one of the two…or both.
OK, now questioning my own...
Ah, I see you did. I missed that. You’re right, I’m repeating myself like a mental patient. Message boards are bad for my OCD sometimes. I’m going to put the ipad down, and just wind the hell down with a book. Hard to believe I’m friggin 61 and not 12 sometimes.
You have a good evening...
That’s cool, you’re providing feedback. It doesn’t have to agree with what I am observing. If anything, I’d like to see if enough people say I’m imagining it or not….lol.
But on any other exhaust mode, when I take off at a gentle acceleration from a stop, there’s a hesitation or lag in the 3...
I am talking ONLY about the EXHAUST SETTINGS. NO OTHER factor.
As far as Drive modes, I am driving in NORMAL MODE and ONLY CHANGING EXHAUST MODES.
If I’m beating a dead horse, let me know, that’s cool, but hey, it’s an active exhaust thread…what else is there to say about it…lol. I’m just...
I hear you, and can’t argue with that...and that makes 100% sense. But it’s such a small increment over Sport Exhaust to have such a dramatic difference in pedal response.
In all honesty, how do we know for sure that selecting that digital option doesn’t do more than just move a flap in the...
That is exactly my point. My theory is that Track Mode exhaust setting also adjusts throttle mapping.…..and I’m NOT talking about drive modes. I’m talking about ONLY exhaust settings affecting throttle response.
Next time you drive put it in Track Exhaust and tell me you don’t notice a more...
Do I feel the extra 6 hp in Track Mode exhaust? Probably not…
BUT, the throttle response is much more immediate, so going into Track Exhaust mode must also advance the timing a little as well as adjust the throttle curve.
Put it in Sport Exhaust and take off from a stop…no need to stomp on...
I did an odd project yesterday.
A few months ago I put a new rear spoiler on. Removing the old one was a PIA and because I lifted the OEM spoiler too aggressively I accidentally broke the 3M tape seal that holds the tail panel module seam flush with the top of the trunk. It made a loud pop I...
420 hp and 550 hp is decent, but the car weighs 4700 lbs!
I think the worst thing is that the 2 door is the same length as the 4 door, so the 2 door looks awkward and oddly stretched.
To get a sense of how huge this car is….the car in this video has 20” rims!!!
