"Passing the test" just means a visual check to the BCM for water damage. It either has it or it doesn't. If it doesn't, they seal the car up and your on you way. Its really not complicated. As mentioned very few of these have had any water damage. I wouldn't stress over it. 👍🏻

Why give the car back? Just do the inspection and call it a day. Unless they already KNOW it needs a BCM, its really not a big deal. Maybe im missing something???

Thats a bit dramatic. Water intrusion in the BCM can effect the exterior lights But ive not heard of anyone dying lol. So are they doing the recall and giving it back? It only takes day. Your making it sound like they canceled the sale.

Its just an inspection and some sealant. The only issue is if they find corrosion in the BCM, because those are on back order. To date Ive only heard of two people that have needed a BCM. They came out with the recall in September, and the fix was issued in October I believe. Stop sales only...

Using a battery tender on a DD isnt normal or needed. If your's does, then the battery is likely on its way out.

For what its worth, since getting the battery replaced Ive had no chime or battery warnings issues. I also have not used the battery tender and the car has sat for 4 days on two occasions without zero issues. I also just had my oil changed using the mobile service. 😎

Since I had my battery replaced in November, I no longer get the periodic chime instead of the heartbeat. Its definitely a low battery thing.

Just an update. I had the battery replaced under warranty at the end of November after getting another battery warning. Since then I have had zero issues. The chime has never returned, and I haven't had any low battery warnings or messages in the Ford App. During this time the car has sat on...

Thats not normal after only 4 or 5 days.
