June in Georgia did not have this result for me. All day long, five sessions, Road Atlanta, nothing overheated. I did not, however, actually look at my transmission temperature, so that is all I can say about it.
I'll have to pay attention next time I am on track but my transmission never hits 200 on the streets/highways. I would probably have to "push it" on track just to get it up to and over 200.
I am pretty sure your transmission has the same cooler mine does.
ID1300 injectors and a boost a pump
6 pounds of boost, 93 octane, 670 hp in 5th gear to get around speed limiter using 6th
They accidentally made 1003 horsepower on 93 . . . oops, but did not blow it up. He did not say what they did wrong.
10 pounds of boost, 93 octane, 783 hp
Then they...
So they pulled the carbon traps, threw E90 in the tank, and, with no tuning or other changes, picked up 29 wheel horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 17 at peak.
It was at this point that "torque management was pulling the throttle back."
Very interesting article. Thanks for sharing it. I don't think...
He also says that the Dark Horse has torque limits in the transmission programming, but the regular GT does not.
There are a lot of other differences in the transmission tuning.
There is this, from three years ago.
I am not vouching for the accuracy of it. I am just sharing the link for discussion.
