Ran errands in it. Speed always sneaks up on me with it. I need to make a new radar dector decision. Looks like V1 has shut down so that very much limits options.
I don't really know what the answer is but I don't like the idea of po po using Mustang GT's to catch people. It isn't because I don't want to get caught either. There are famiies out there and I see too many UTubes (Arkansas State Patrol in particular) doing stupid speeds in heavy traffic...
I used to live in South Louisiana and, without exception, the State Boys would be hanging out just across the Texas state line by the half dozens. I doubt it's any different today. It's nothing novel about state patrols hanging out near any entry or exit from their state lines. Just drive...
Google does have the answer to that question. I want to say it is between 200 and 240 FWIW. Mine tracks pretty close to oil temp unless I'm pushing it then it doesn't ever get as hot as the oil.
Those bikes probably carried a lot more weight than just a guy on a bike. I used to know a European bike dealer/owner and he quit selling bikes to the local police. because he was doing too much warranty work due to abuse and just plain stupid riders. Not all people should ever be on a bike.
Mine works accurately and tells me how long it's been in my garage. It better be in there with motor still hot. I gotta get a new radar detector or I'm gonna get in trouble. My Mustang is just too easy to be at 100 with me thinking I'm at 70......😳
Cops are looking for drugs more than anything else, dui's second. That's why they ask so many questions you don't have to answer. DO use turn signals when changing lanes and watch your mirrors. Go with the flow until you feel lucky and DO run a good radar detector.
I know my local precinct...
Which is why I don't see the need to up the danger factor for the general public by doubling the number of cars going fast by high speed pursuits. Speeds to some level fine but otherwise, radio's seem like a much more effective method of dealing with it. Spike strips work pretty well too for...
@Lou G, I sincerely appreciate the offer but if they won't talk directly to a potential customer, well, you know the rest. Hell, I would answer the phone for them for not too much money.
So what caused your car to do whatever it did? In Louisiana a lemon became a lemon after three unsuccessful tries at fixing something. My dad used the lemon law in that state successfully. Law may have changed though.
I just tried their two phone numbers again and got the same "short staffing" message.....twice. No way I will spend that much money with people that obviously don't care about customers. I absolutely don't believe they have a staffing shortage. Pay people correctly, treat them properly, offer...
I paid $3.15/gal. for 93 yesterday. Not bad for a little over 20 mpg which is mostly city. If anyone buys 486 hp for good gas mileage, well.....fill in the blank. Although 20 isn't bad to me and it will do significantly better on interstates.
Man, NEVER get rid of that Civic. I got a 2014 (like you, I bought new and it's absolutely mint with less than 20k km's on it / 12.5k miles). The days of simple, easy to fix, no frills cars...I shudder every time I have to dodge some yahoo on the road who's driving like a moron.
EDIT: Not...
It was designed by an MIT engineer no doubt. I once reported to a guy that had a BS, Masters, and PHD from MIT. He was dumb a a box of rocks. HE is the one that designed the cabin filter.
Once I get settled down, I want to put a new set of tires on my GT, an oil change, new air filters and head west. It's just the midwest that I suffer through. Sorry, but been through there and it always nearly puts me to sleep. It probably wouldn't today as my destination for the day would be...
Ever ridden in one? They ride like a tank.
I have Honda Civic (2012 I bought new, still in new condition), that gets easily 40 mpg on the highway. It has some pep too. Good enough for me. It's the most stolen car in America. Mustangs are supposedly number two.
