  1. Sanity Check Needed on Steeda Stop the Hop Kit

It has annoying gear whine at highway speed. It's not *terrible* but I commute in the car everyday and am sick of hearing it. If it were my weekend warrior I wouldn't care.
  2. Sanity Check Needed on Steeda Stop the Hop Kit

I installed the stop the hop kit and let me just say I've been very happy with how much it has improved the rear end. Despite this, I've concluded that I'm not happy with the increase in NVH that the differential bushing inserts are causing and am going to remove them and retain everything else...
  3. NEW! SVE DHP1 Wheels For 2005-2025 Mustangs

Any plan to offer these in bronze? My car has the bronze pack and I’d like to maintain bronze wheels but really like how these look and the price.
  4. 3rd gear lockout/grind continues to be alive and well on these cars equipped with the MT-82 + mini ownership reflection after 15k miles.

My car now has just over 15k miles on it. Also has an MGW shifter (did it when stock too). You'd think that after 13 years Ford would have remedied this problem. I was going for a little rip tonight taking advantage of the no lift shift feature which is tons of fun. I was shifting at redline...
  5. Replaced my differential fluid at 15k miles, definitely think it is good practice to do so.

Doesn’t mean the effectiveness of the limited slip hasn’t decreased due to lack of fluid changes.
  6. Replaced my differential fluid at 15k miles, definitely think it is good practice to do so.

Yes I tend to drive the car pretty hard. The friction modifier is already added in since it's the "LS" version of the fluid so no need to add the stuff from Ford.
  7. Replaced my differential fluid at 15k miles, definitely think it is good practice to do so.

So recently I decided it would be good to replace the differential and transmission fluid in my car just to get all of the break in stuff out of them. A little bit excessive? Maybe, but I like taking care of my cars. I replaced with BG ultra guard LS from op mustang. Great kit with very detailed...
  8. Update to yesterday’s post regarding unsettling motion in rear suspension. DEALER LEFT BOLTS UNTIGHTENED

It is the s550. I couldn’t find anything s650 specific. As far as I know the torque specs are the same or at least similar given the similarity between the suspension components. I verified by checking the torque on the other side and the wrench clicked immediately at the correct spec.
  9. Update to yesterday’s post regarding unsettling motion in rear suspension. DEALER LEFT BOLTS UNTIGHTENED

This is an update to yesterday’s thread. I decided that enough was enough and got under my car today. The FIRST bolt I put my torque wrench is on damn near finger loose. It was the outer toe link bolt circled in black below. Mind you there were several others that needed tightening too but that...
  10. Issue after getting rear axel and hub replaced. Dealer refuses to diagnose.

I understand where you’re coming from. But my perspective is I’ve given them 3 chances. This is also my only car and I obviously have to go to work every day. I can work from home but having it gone for a day once a week essentially just doesn’t work for me. Same with going back and fourth with...
  11. Issue after getting rear axel and hub replaced. Dealer refuses to diagnose.

Funnily enough I have a stop the hop kit hopefully being shipped to me in a week or so, we’ll see if it fixes it. The only reason I’m attributing this to them is it never behaved like this prior to the fix.
  12. Issue after getting rear axel and hub replaced. Dealer refuses to diagnose.

So a couple weeks back I posted this thread about excessive play in the rear wheel along with a clicking from the rear end. Come to find out there has been a TSB out for quite some time on this and they replaced the rear axel and wheel bearing free of charge. I pick the car up and the noise is...
  13. High RPM misfire, dealer says it’s normal!?

Also no bouncing off the rev limiter, just up there in the RPM band.
  14. High RPM misfire, dealer says it’s normal!?

They’re the steeda ones so oiled.
  15. High RPM misfire, dealer says it’s normal!?

Since around 1000 miles. Even if they were just put in I fail to see any possible correlation between drop in filters and a misfire.
  16. High RPM misfire, dealer says it’s normal!?

It was on for 30 seconds and then went away by itself. They said there was a generic misfire code, no specific cylinder.
