After seeing Matt talk speak so enthusiastically about Trace-less over the last 12-months, I felt like it would be a safe bet, so I ordered the 5-liter bottle of it. Sadly, considering the price, it just hasn't lived up to expectations, and not from a lack of trying.
Taken from the Sin-Bin...
My Ford Performance welcome pack arrived today........................
Also arriving, a fluid extractor. This particular one has a 9.5-litre capacity to account for the both the Ranger and XR8, which hold 8.6 and 8.5 respectively. This one also features both pump action and a compressed air...
Kranzle KHD10/122 Oil Change
I’ve previously documented the oil change process on the mobile K1152 (K1122), but in this instance, I’m featuring the KHD10 that I wall mounted back in June 2023. After 18-months of solid use, this will be its first oil change.
The owner’s manual instructs to...
Twenty-five years ago, I was enjoying the freedom that came from a driver's license and my first car.
My parents helped me with my first car. After searching far and wide looking at various Falcon's, eventually this 2001 AU III Fairmont sedan popped up at the local Ford dealer. After a test...
That R-Spec suspension tune is much better at speed, be that cruising on the highway, or in higher speed cornering. It's the low-speed ride that takes getting used to. They did slacken the ride for the Sprint, renaming it S-spec and making the car "breath" with the road rather than smashing into...
I have these, but they weren't strong enough for these particular clips -
Pick Set – Detail Factory
Detail Factory - Detailing Pick Set : Amazon.com.au: Automotive
The pry spot for those clips was hidden under the trim panel, so no risk in this situation.
Every make and model have their...
I also replaced a couple of parts on the Ranger today.
The first was the driver's side scuff panel, which for some reason had popped out of place. I removed and attempted to re-seat it, only to discover the two outboard clips had broken. More great Ford quality.......................
After...
This image represents where I wanted to be 3 months ago, at ease without a certain something hanging over my head. I still have some hurdles to clear, but they seem so insignificant compared to where I was back then.............or even a week ago.
I've been driving the XR8 a bit lately too...
My mother used to buy me a Ford/FPV calendar for Christmas every year. This was before online shopping existed, and even if it did, Mum wouldn't know how to do so. As such, she always bought one at a news agent. After FPV stopped doing them, I would get a Ford themed calendar with a variety of...
The Wildtrak's turn today. I've previously noted that I'm in between coatings with this car. I had intended to detail the car in October or November, but I was out of action for the better part of a month due to illness, then I was busy with other things. It was then smashed into by a senile...
Got an email today welcoming me to the Ford Performance Club. I'm not sure if this played out the same for others, but I actually had to chase this up with the dealer just before Christmas as I hadn't been contacted by Ford or offered the welcome pack.
I'm not sure who is responsible for...
Absolutely!
I decided not to link each product, mainly for time reasons. The following websites will have you sorted for most of the above, otherwise your local auto store or Amazon for the Megs, Mothers and 303 products.

The last drive of 2024................................
I can't say I'll be sad to see 2024 end. Even though it brought joy a few months ago, there was too much trauma that went on before and after the Mustang arrived. I guess you can't have pleasure without some pain along the way.
Two...
I feel like I need to highlight something that is a big selling feature of these guns, the live swivel at the gun inlet.
I came across someone complaining that the live swivel doesn't stop the hose from getting tangled, that it was just an overhyped feature that was pure marketing...
Ok, so that should un-screw from the silver part of the Karcher adaptor. You might need to fight it, I not sure if Waxit use Loctite or not, I know Detailing Shed do. You will need two wrenches, lay it on a flat surface and twist in apposing directions.
With that hose, you will need one of these to fit the pressure washer end -
ProPulse 1/4" Uberflex Hose Adapter Kit – Waxit Car Care
Then a 3/8 male thread coupler which will screw into the other end of the hose and connect to the new gun (you need the M22 14mm for that hose) -
Aquatouch...
DFB’s Detailing Awards 2024
Well, if a certain Youtuber can give out yearly detailing awards, then why can’t I? The difference here though is I don’t have a conflict of interest, sell my own products, or get sent a bag of money to say nice things about average products and brands. So, the...
Well, I've began my 38th trip around the sun.
For Christmas and my birthday, I was given some new tools to flesh out my collection. Which meant tinkering with my toolbox to fit things in.
For Christmas, I got this file set sold by Wera, although made by PFERD and housed within Wera foam...
