Hmmm, odd that is doesn't seem to look anything like the leaked front ends we've seen so far. Those headlamps and lower fascia look very much Mach-E inspired.
I'd have thought it would have to reflect the styling of S650 more closely.
That being said, I don't dislike what appears in that...
I'm glad this thread has been bounced.......I couldn't remember which thread Jem indicated the Ecoboost and GT front ends might be different, which has now been confirmed by the recent leaked images :)
When the DB7 and later DB9 were designed by Ian Callum, both Aston Martin and Jaguar were owned by Ford. Ian Callum stayed as head of Jaguar design until just a couple of years ago, so his influence is still strong in the design of both current Jaguars and Astons.
I'd still take a normally aspirated V8 over a TT version (despite my username........blame my old 300zx !!)...........TT's would mute the glorious V8 noise. Call me a heathen, but I don't like supercharger whine, either, for the same reason.
I did think it was a bit of an odd comment that Ford don't know what to do as I'm sure plans for the V8 in S650 would have been set a number of years back. However, 8th Gen/S750 I guess is where there planning is at the moment.
However, perhaps even Team Mustang have been surprised at the very...
I'd have thought......or hoped, the hybrid tech would keep the V8 around in markets where it'd be tough without it (mainly Europe).
But if Ford want some feedback, then lets give it to them!
Please Ford, keep the V8 around for the 7th AND 8th Gen Mustangs!!
"Ford has admitted that it has a serious problem with the coming Mustang that it cannot seem to figure out.
With the new-generation S650-series Mustang set to surface globally within the next 12 months, the Detroit-based product planners are fast approaching a decision that can make or break the...
According to our friends at Ford Authority, this was the first GT mule to use the production front end.
I still believe that's using the current Mach 1 as a starting point, so if the S650 GT is based on the Mach 1, it's going to be quite the car :)...
And a wheel comparison. This white GT convertible is a UK GT......we had the option of the Performance Pack wheels in silver.
To me, the design looks identical, but the mule wheels appear larger. The definitely fill the arches better, so they might have a revised offset and the suspension is...
Something to consider....
The Romeo Engine Plant, where the GT500's Predator engine is built is scheduled for closure at the end of this year, so there's no guarantee we'll see the Predator in a future high-powered Mustang. Of course, they could be "niche" engines elsewhere, but not without...
Nah, the Brittany Blue Heritage Edition ('22MY) will be the last.......just like the Wimbledon White Heritage Edition GT350 was.
It's certainly unusual to see a hi-po version of an "all new" model testing so early, but I'm not complaining. Whatever it is, it'll still be unlikely to see...
Silver versions of those wheels have been available in Rest of the World markets since 2015.
These look bigger though......20" rather 19", but that could be a trick of the zoom lens.
Ignore the camo out back, this could well be leftover from when this was a '20GT500 prototype in a former life.
All we're interested in is what's up front :)
