Very much this. A new generation of Mustang needs at least a couple of weeks of build up and teasers! I know Shelby American are due to reveal a concept vehicle (although it might not be a Mustang) at the Ford Nationals at Carlisle, but that's not until Friday 3rd......

I kind of hope it's not the GT3/GT4...............I'd much rather see the road version of S650 first!

Chances of this being a last model year special for S550 are almost zero. I also think its too early for S650, so more likely a race variant. I hope I'm wrong though!

Forums are a funny place. Here's an opportunity to discuss what you'd like in an S650 Mach 1, or equivalent, and most people end up arguing about EVs instead :facepalm:

Well, of course nothing is guaranteed, but the exhaust is definitely from the current Mach 1......and those tires look like Cup 2s (or just very bald PS4Ss lol). Also, the GT350 debuted in the '15MY, even if it was less than 200 units.

That might just be for US markets........only time will tell.

There's no reason a V8-hybrid needs to use the engine as a generator. Just look at how the Aviator/Explorer V6 hybrid works. Such a setup would keep the V8 going for S650. Although beyond that is anyone's guess.

I've often wondered this myself. We all know Kemal Curic "penned" S550.........but Moray Callum would have been his boss when S550 debuted. As global design director (or whatever Mr Callum's job title was) I do wonder if he ever pens any designs himself, or just gives direction and approval. I...

You can wish for a new smaller TT V8 all you want, but it 'aint happening. I suspect the forthcoming 6.8 pushrod V8 will be the last "all new" V8 Ford develops. And the ONLY reason that is being developed is for the big trucks. Will it be put in the Mustang? I still think that's unlikely, but...

The Giugiaro Mustang concept debuted in 2006 and was a taste of what was to come with the 2010 S197 refresh.........a sleeker, curvier version of the original S197.

The BMW 8-series is a great looking car, but not as aggressive as S550.....and, hopefully, S650!

A few observations. 1 - Why the !?*% did this person only take one photo? 😛 The windows appear down on one of them, so a potential to grab some more interior shots, never mind some decent close-ups..........unless, of course, the test team were just out of shot themselves! 2 - The "middle"...
