Haha.......or perhaps that's where you plug it in :p
Actually, those side pipes are a sure sign this isn't an official Ford proposal as I suspect the chances of those reaching production are zero (although the '12/'13 Boss 302 did have side pipes.....although they were not visible unless you...
This was posted on a UK Mustang Facebook page last night. Unfortunately, no details to support it yet, but I assume this is just a design student's study and likely not anything officially from Ford.
Perhaps it's just wishful thinking, but I do see elements of the sculpture Ford previewed in China.
If......if the 6.8 is going into a Mustang SE, it'll be for the S650. No way we're getting any more models on S550 as it only has two more model years to run ('21 & '22). So, '23MY would be the earliest we'd see the 6.8 and even then, it's a little unusual to have an SE available in the first...
That supports what's been suggested elsewhere, and then repeated here (by myself and others)...........that S650 will utilize the current DC2 architecture, but use elements of CD6.
Thing is, every new generation of Mustang is met with a certain level of hate. That may be a strong word, but new looks always stir up emotions. And, often as not, the vast majority of "haters" come around to liking the new design after several month. Not everyone, of course, but I'd bet its the...
This was an interesting catch on another forum...............definitely a hint of '57 Thunderbird in the side profile.
This feature line, or at least very similar, was also used by Sean Smith on one of his 2015 renderings....
That front end is also very similar to one of the renderings that was released as part of the Mach E launch. I always thought it odd that they showed this one, as it's clearly a coupe and not an SUV!
I prefer the shape of the lights on the sculpture though.
Lets keep the 6.8 talk to the 6.8 thread :like:

Good article, thank you! That puts a much more positive spin on it and the description of CD6 being "building blocks" rather than a physical platform is something those in the know over at Blue Oval Forums have said, too.
This is good to hear, too:
"We also hear that there will be a massive...
Agreed......especially as S650 is likely the last generation that'll come with traditional Mustang values such as a normally aspirated V8 and a manual gearbox, at least to those of us outside the US. Get 'em while you can!
With projected sales of 100k I think the only way they'll achieve that is with global sales, including RHD. I believe Australia is the second largest market outside of US/Canada. Obviously no RHD would impact the us in the UK, too, although we've always been able to import and register LHD...
In case you missed it, I posted earlier that one reliable Ford insider on Blue Oval Forums has indicated the new platform will be called D5. This is a mix of current the current D2C and new CD6. This was done to ensure S650 doesn't increase from its current size and weight.
Of course, until...
