honestly, here's what i think
- not great for pure racing due to reasons Ewheels mentioned
- 99% of people who will get it won't race much or at all
- it's good that they're being offered because it means they might become more common and less expensive, the people who are getting them are early...
the lack of heated and cooled functionality was a major issue i had with the recaros in the S550s
i still probably wont get them, i like the power features and the ability to actually get out of the seat
every time i see the exhaust, it makes me wonder why nobody has taken a picture of the underneath yet, i'm personally really interested if a '17-'23 catback, resonator deletes, and such will work on the '24s
also they have what looks like 0% tint on that thing, i wonder what is so special that...
found it, Motortrend said it in this article
"Two designs will be offered—one plain black and another that incorporates a subtle blue accent fiber woven in."
now it makes sense why there's a big delay, they gotta do the tooling/setup for the blue fibers
This thread is for information about the carbon fiber wheels coming to the Dark Horse, and I will do my best to keep it up to date
When?
Short Answer: August 28th, 2023
Ford's Fleet Dealer News Bulletins as of February 10th are saying that the carbon fiber wheels are late availability, and...
i would love to get a Dark Horse in Splash Yellow, but Ford doesn't like how good that combo looks
if i can get that blue interior without the appearance pack (those Notorious Blue calipers are not great looking), i would definitely get either Oxford White with black calipers or Race Red with...
looks like someone was heading out to the Arizona Proving Grounds, that intersection is 100% Grand Ave (US 60) and Sunrise Blvd facing west
a month or so ago i actually went out to see those proving grounds (only got to the front gate), and on my way back i guess i split up a group heading back...
looks like they're going back to the exhaust of the '15-'17 GTs, and only active exhaust will get quad exits
also, those wheels look Hot Wheels' PR5 wheel design
here's my guesses
Ecoboost Base: $29k, Premium: $32k, Fully Optioned: $54k
GT Base: $40k, Premium: $43k, Fully Optioned: $67k
Dark Horse: $56k, Fully Optioned: $85k (i bet the carbon fiber wheels are a $10k option)
Convertibles: $6k more
with the fact that every trim level is getting the dual...
wonder what Ford's lame excuse is for not giving this color to the Dark Horse?
personally, i really like how Yellow Splash looks, but i kinda wish they just kept Cyber Orange around
i just found something it looks like everybody just skipped, you're able to take apart the drift brake handle and customize it
found it in Ford's media site here
sorry to reply to a 2 month old message, but the redline might be upped to 7500rpm
i cant say this for 100% certain and it's based off info that only one person has said (65sohc on Mustang6G), but i read that Ford puts a 600RPM buffer between redline and the limiter, and it looks like the...
same here, i'm kinda whatever about most of the S550 wheels except the PP1, PP2, GT350 V1 and V2, and the M1 wheels except the standard ones
the 20" wheels always reminded me of the ones some fusions had
