I've managed to place an order for the FP extreme kit W/ black 5" tips and Dark Horse rear valence. FP said they only sell it third party and Lethal told me they don't expect shipping until mid-June. Gonna be a patient wait but can't wait to see the results.
"Farley calls the recently announced, track-focused Mustang GTD – a Nürburgring-tested creation with 800bhp, a sophisticated aero package and a £240,000 price – “a down payment” "
That all but confirms for me that the 2025 teaser they did was a 5.2 supercharged V8 with a transaxle, probably...
the fact that two of the top 3 lap records for the nurburgring are 700HP RWD cars says otherwise, the issue isnt the power, its the weight distribution. its why American muscle cars love to do burnouts, its why the Corvette went mid engine, and its why Ford went with the transaxle in the GTD...

you can clearly see there testing something with the GTD rear end.
images ive seen from another thread show me its at least going to be the supercharged engine with a transaxle, possibly pushrod suspension. drops the carbon body and active aero rear wing. Depending on how many GTDs they've sold the R&D cost for most of this stuff has already been eaten up so...
if thats real then maybe theres some truth to the "baby GTD" rumor, sucks for the old people that still want a manual though because that image pretty much confirms there would be a transaxle with the cooling vents and repositioned exhaust.
Only the 5" quad tips require the DH rear valence. Honestly imo 3k for a rear valence and a Borla catback system with 5" tips doesn't sound too bad of a deal for AVE support. It's what I'm planning on getting at least.
shits expensive to make (and profit off of)
carbon fiber body, forged magnesium wheels, GT spec tansaxle transmission, active aero components, pushrod suspension. this aint a sunday funday pony car, this is Fords attempt to strike at the automotive icons like the GT3RS or AMG black series. they...
i wouldnt expect to see or hear anything about these exhausts until June or July based on what FP says about the carbon fiber parts for the FP800. Also for people with a GT wanting the 5" tips, youll probably want to get the $3000 version as that also comes with the DH rear valence otherwise the...
possibly, theyve never actually shown the Dark Horse S, only mentioned it in conversation alongside the Dark Horse R.
maybe its that car they teased at the anniversary event.

most they say is "over 500hp"
i cant say exactly what their weight would be but Ford uses cast wheels for all of their non-Shelby cars, for instance the PP2 wheels were 34lbs for the fronts, my 19x9.5 rear wheels weigh about 38 lbs. so id imagine the 20's are in the low 40's. For comparison my 20x11 flow formed HRE wheels...
