OK, I'm confused here.
Manuals are more engaging, enjoyable and shows you are a skilful driving God. But people want auto blipping and flat shifting nannies to do the hard stuff?
How about an auto clutch option, or shifter paddles so you don't get tired from moving that big heavy gearshift?
The GTD does have linkage style rear suspension, but it's in road tune apparently. Several exotics are running similar set ups.
I tend to agree with Charoudan that the mid engine layout gives the C8 an advantage over the GTD. Better drive out of corners for one, probably lower CdA as well.
As he...
It's also a good idea to torque in steps. Start at half spec then redo at rated torque.
This is also hard to describe accurately, but when a thread is about to strip or a stud is close to breaking, the wrench feels like it's losing force and feels "greasy". That's when you back off and check...
It might pay to check calibration of your torque wrench. Google the procedure.
I've got one torque wrench that sometimes doesn't reset, and overtightens without clicking.

So My wife's car has the legendary VAG quality, tight even panel gaps, pretty good paint quality etc, etc.
That is until I started fitting wiring for a radar detector, phone charger etc and found fabric insulation not fitted into place, improperly fitted plastic bits, etc. Nothing that's a deal...
The only thing that really bugged me was public spitting. But that's so common, and disgusting, now with born Kiwis that it's not just a Chinese thing any more.
What's worse, walking barefoot is common with Kiwis too.
I was driver testing when NZ had the mass influx of Chinese immigrants in the late 90's.
Now I don't have a problem with Chinese people, I've had two Chinese gilfriends and a couple of Chinese mates, I quite like them, but they are the most horrific drivers.
One example, the woman who slammed...
We get those w⚓ ers here too, acting staunch as they saunter across the road. It's very tempting to nail it, but I hate cleaning any kind of s**t off my car.
I saw an Aussie vid recently where cylists were holding up traffic on purpose, until a bogun in a Falcon did nail it and blasted through...
Not sure about the toasty feeling, but I must have fallen asleep quickly. Then woke up in hospital.
I hate the cold so not my choice for voluntary checking out.
Having seen the price of Brembos on other makes, $2000+ is a bargain. At least it is here.
Personally speaking, performance brakes are a must if you drive "enthusiastically".
