.....this is a VERY low torque bolt. Torque to 35 wait an hours or so then re-torque to 38 and leave it alone after that. Use a new nut EACH time as they are ONE use ONLY. The nuts FORM-FIT to the bolt. If you re-use a nut it will have "stretched" and will allow an over torque condition that...
......one awesome thing about this forum - no matter what options or configurations we have, as individuals, collectively we are still lucky enough to have a Mustang which is a thing of beauty and ferocity along with the members on this forum who love to engage in a bit of good-natured...
@Redback ...... was at a coffee and cars in May. Guy was shooting his mouth off about his 6 speed 2024 GT versus any 2024 GT with an A10. There was a long straight road running past the location. When I had had enough I said, "Really?" "I have 10 grand that says I can smoke your a$$ with my 10...
@Saphire as you said - "If you want to have fun and don't mind wasting gas, and losing races, get the Row-Boat. I know not all of us race. That A10 will win, and make your driving comfortable." .....and I add using the paddles you can drive much like a a manual. Hold those shifts to 6+ grand...
@F150tripin ..... best auto tranny I have ever driven. Fast and smooth. The paddles are awesome and make it shift like a manual with best-in-class rev mating on upshifts. No driver with the same car with a manual can beat the 10 speed, period - it's that fast. Your car, your decision. My knees...
I still think we are wasting time on a troll or chat bot. This guy can't be real he's too stupid to have lived long enough to get a driver's license. Darwin's law would have gotten him by now! Just sayin'
@Rambo5.0h ..... your forum name says it all to me. You need to do a lot of growing-up (include your Dad in that) and develop some proper driving skills (at a track for example - with an instructor) before you kill someone or end up in a Mustang fails video. What happened should have been...
.......and some forum members whine about the price of a GT now? With that engine add another, what? 30K? ...... as I said, IMO, that engine - if it happens - will be reserved for VERY expensive, limited edition, NOT mass produced, specialty vehicles.
Really? Dream-on. Nice to imagine but in no universe does this engine end-up in anything but super high-priced, specialty vehicles. Just remember if you are going to inhale buy quality $hit.
@SmoothButter ..... yes you can but, respectfully, watch out for the auto tranny - if your revs are too high it will launch you once you shift into drive....as per my post above about a Mustang GT that rear-ended a vehicle at a red light after "rev bombing".
.......this probably explains what I saw last Fall. At a light and heard a Mustang GT rev then smack into the back of a vehicle ahead while we were all stopped at a red light. I guess he "rev bombed" himself right into the body shop?
@DarkkMatter ...... great overview of your trip. Regarding that tick - likely just a one-off random. That said, I respectfully advise the following for your oil changes to avoid the 'Mustang Tick" - today I did an oil change (#4) on my 2024 GT - the tech did what they have done for the last 3...
@20ducks ..... My car phone is a 2025 Samsung S25 Ultra+ I loaded 1000+ songs onto it from my office hard drive Apple Playlist. When I turn the phone on the Samsung app pops up on the Mustang's LCD screen automatically. I tap the Samsung icon, then can use the steering wheel to select tracks -...
@bosshoss ...... depends on the dealer, the options, where you buy it and at what time of year you buy it. There is no one correct answer. I got 8 grand off a 2024 Mustang GT premium (401A) convertible with AT, Bose System up-grade and up-graded rims/tires - because I bought it after it had sat...
@Boykin4 ..... only once, same issue, got diverted to a country side road due to a highway construction detour, and dust and dirt blocked the unit. Wiped the area - never happened again.
@Lou G ...... I agree 100% with the comment that a dealer may use "jobbers oil" that is quality but different oil to get the best bulk oil prices for their in shop oil fill hoses. My friend owned a dealership and they did that. I called him out for BS for doing that but he just shrugged and said...
@robvas ..... for one, all encompassing reason, pick an oil and stick with it. Don't swap oils around. Doing so is much better for your engine as oils have different properties and your engine's components will respond a bit differently to each one. Better to buy the oil you will use forever for...
@TX-TBeau ...... times and products change and "the oil geek" and Blackstone do admirable work. When my uncle was VP of a major oil company's chemical research and other family members built custom race engines we tested a number of oils. Most of the best were quite similar. The absolute best...
Changing oil filters, oil and engine air filters is the cheapest way to protect your engine and the best money you will ever spend on it. Also having a record of that at resale time is a real benefit. Ford oil filter. Ford FULL synthetic. Pre-fill the oil filter before installation. Wipe some...
