one thing the HCM has in its data is the VIN associated with the vehicle. some modules have this issue a "VIN Mismatch" code, and others dont. the HCM does not. the lights remaining on is also interesting, as that also happens if you set the farewell lighting in the LDCM to anything other than...
i decided to take a break from getting frustrated with amber DRLs, and get annoyed with a different type of lighting instead, ambient lighting. first big hurdle: the Mustang uses a 4-wire common cathode setup. basically all other Fords and Lincolns use a LIN ambient lighting setup. so, i did...
Ford has a ton of colors with different names elsewhere. here are some examples

i still have my center screen set up to be a GTD, but not the splash screen. i like the larger oil pressure gauge range, the fact the oil temp gauge actually gives you a temp, and the boost gauge having a supercharger icon
he is 100% using FDRS to do something, you cant change the IPC to a GTD's without reprogramming it. the normal Mustang programming just simply does not have it. FDRS is $50 for 2 days, $150 for 30 days, and $850 for 365 days. plus, you need a specific adapter which costs $2000+
the bolts in the diagram are labeled. it's saying that the torque spec of the bolts that secure the transmission support to the vehicle is 46lb-ft/63Nm, and the bolts that secure the support to the transmission itself are 76lb-ft/103Nm. also, that piece is technically two parts, the insulator...
this is just one of the unavoidable parts of owning a performance engine. cold starts are always loud, and the Coyote is widely regarded as one of the loudest engines on cold start. quiet mode is a whisper compared to even normal mode from my experience
i guess its a sort of waiting game now. i've been a bit burnt out on searching for things lately, but will do a bit more looking tomorrow. i swear, if this ends up being something really simple i missed...
so, good news. it looks like the HCM, headlight, and LDCM are wired the exact same exact way a north american non-GTD is. that means no wiring harness swaps or patches. i also learned a bunch of random stuff about the GTD, like how the whole trunk delete was done just for the transaxle fluid...
FDRS is a dealer-level tool for programming of modules. a 2-day license is $50, 30-day is $200, and 365-day is $900. the fact you apparently need FDRS is quite interesting. if he does require being paid, PM me how much. im willing to pitch in funding for this project
i was about to say how yours is a job 1, but i double checked just in case. yours is a very, very late job 2; September 2024. yours also has the LDCMA, LDCMB, and HCM software that the GTD has. i decided to compare some other stuff too.
your right headlight part number ends in R and the left...
those videos make me wish i was deaf
if you want a nice tone, check out Borla's S-Type cat-backs, or some of Ford Performance's offerings
Active Exhaust
Non-Active Exhaust
it makes me happy that even Borla's Atak kits actually have some tone unlike the S550 versions
first time i have heard someone say something negative about Project Farm. he usually does tool reviews (ratcheting wrenches, jack stands, impact adapters, etc), so the dash cam video was definitely out of left field. about the price range, most people are not going to want to spend a ton of...
just upgraded my dash cam from a Viofo A229 Pro to a Redtiger F77 V2. surprisingly easy, as both are powered and connect to the rear camera via USB-C ports
