I get the manual thing, it is more involving. If I'd had a choice it would have been a tough call. There's also the ease of dealing with heavy traffic in an auto.

The weird thing is that the 6 pot Brembos with 370mm rotor will fit 19" wheels, but my last car with 4 pot brembos and 370mm rotors needed 20" wheels.

Mine had 80kms, which I wasn't happy about. But it had been at another branch 20kms away, and had done at least 3 trips between branches. And all has been well.

That's strange, I don't find it confused or jerky except for downshifts into 2nd or 1st at low revs/speed.

It has some options that Gen 1 didn't. You can plug 'n play, but if you live where there's no K band for example, you might want to turn off K. Or you might want to enable "silent ride" no audio alerts under a given speed. Things like that.

The Nordschliefe is a real road, it's bumpy, long and hard to fully learn. Road rules apply for cars and drivers depending if it's a TF or trackday or race day. It's like the Isle of Man for bikes and some of our local street circuits and hillclimbs. You may not be allowed to drive at ten 10ths...

Here's a thought, Ford release the GTD, a real track focussed beast that's actually useful on the street. Everybody complains about the price. Then they announce GTD lite with some of the GTD goodness at, say, half the price. It's a conspiracy, I tell ya.

You've missed the point a bit. If it's good on that track, it'll be really great on the road. You can't say that about many other tracks.
