based on the wording, it sounds like Ford is going to be doing what they did for the Raptor, where on that the 37 package is 802A, R is 803A, and standard is 801A
i don't know who looks here, so i can't say how i know. but i can tell you that none were Molten Magenta. they were Oxford White, Carbonized Grey, Avalanche, Shadow Black, Argon Blue, Adriatic Blue, and Race Red
well, i got my current Dark Horse for the original price i ordered it for, no hassle. and the GSM even said that he likes how i don't let my car just sit in a garage
the biggest determining factor is whether or not a mark-up is actually on it. given i work at the dealer i am ordering from, my hopes are that there is no mark-up, but this is yet another "to be determined" factor
i went there and took some pictures too. more focused on technical details, though
here you can see the fact that it's just a GT500 cat-back with different tips
the front and back cf wheels looked so similar, with the rear ones even having the ceramic coating inside. it seems likely that this...
i know it's not an official price, but according to the Ford guys running the area at Barrett-Jackson, the one on display is likely in the $150k range, and it's maxed out on options. the vehicle on display is VIN 1FA6P8GJ9T5550006. 970A with painted stripes, track package, 7yr connectivity...
Ford has about 30 pre-production SCs built, maybe 4 or 5 of them are this color. i am assuming they are press vehicles, so just keep your eyes out for the reviews and you will probably see your spec
here's some new info:
wheel sizes - non-track pack has a 20x11" cast aluminum square setup. track pack has a 20x11.5" carbon fiber square setup.
internal name - "SHELBY VERSION #2", same as the 2020-2022 GT500.
diff ratio - 3.73 Torsen.
all caliper colors shown off are now known, being Notorious...
i was telling myself "don't bother going to Barrett Jackson, they just unveiled these and it's probably not gonna be there", and i wish i didn't listen
eh, i wouldn't say "scared", more inexperienced. i haven't driven something any meaningful distance with cf wheels, so i don't know how strong and durable they are. on one hand, it's carbon fiber, which is really strong, and if there was a problem with cf wheels, Ford would've stopped using...
looks like Avalanche is making a return too, but remains to be seen if it's an RTR exclusive or of all trims get it. but another interesting thing is that Burgundy Velvet is listed in the touch up paints as well. would be an interesting replacement for dark red since Rapid Red is missing.
i guess we'll see. but i do just want to mention this:
a highly optioned 101A EcoBoost can come to $43,835, the premium EcoBoost starts at $39,035.
a highly optioned 201A EcoBoost can come to $49,980, the GT starts at $48,500.
a highly optioned 301A GT can come to $63,000, the GT premium starts...
what's the source of this? because i honestly don't buy it. Ford has themselves in an odd corner for pricing and power numbers, and i seriously doubt base price will be $110k. maybe it's naive optimism, but i'm thinking base price will be mid to high $80k. the price of a base GT500 in 2021 was...
