Your "authorized Shelby dealer" installs it. Just like the ford performance whipple (all the same thing remember)
they aren't going to "ship the car back to Shelby" that wouldn't make any sense
Dark Horse is like $75k, how much did you think all the extra shit would be?
the GT500 was a $80,000 six years ago and we all know what happened to car prices since then
If this car would have been something new and not just a GT500 re-hash, we'd be having a different conversation
Imagine if it would have been a turbo 5.0/5.2, instead of a supercharger 5.2...
Looks like the LMP2 cars use a 600hp Gibson 4.2 V8 right now

So that 5.4 should be making the same power (probably a class limit)
I wonder if the side-loading on the 5.4 is out of range for what they would want to warranty, or if it uses a non-production block, or....
And realistically how much HP are they going to get out of a 5.4 vs a 5.2 or 5.0? It's about 4% more displacement, so take the Dark Horse engine at ~ 500hp...
They are in a weird spot
they made the mustang more expensive and fancy, to the point where the dark horse is the same price as a Corvette. So the comparison is bound to happen.
then to make it worse, instead of building something like the Ford GT (which was supercar status at the time), they...
Dark Horse is a stupid name. Always has been.
it just shows how out of touch they are with their customer base.
too busy doing dumb shit like the "gay raptor"
