Longtubes with cats are going to be louder than stock manifolds without cats
Guys cut them out and weld them back up. 2M sells a set of flanges. And I've seen people use a 2015-17 exhaust manifold on that side as well.
They probably don't want to keep track of two oil caps
According to the oil geeks, many 0W-30 oils are made out of a different base oil (including PAO or Esters) than the same brand 5W30 (typically a group III oil), so that they can pass the 0W standard. They also say that this creates a better...
It's been reported elsewhere, who knows if it's true or not (or maybe it doesn't affect everyone depending on....?
Good way to bring attention to it and get more people reporting if they experienced it or not. Not everyone reads every post in every thread.
Plus who doesn't love OLM chat?!
If you want to blindly follow the manufacturers guidelines (the same manufacturer with terrible quality and record recalls), go right ahead. Remember the beancounters get to overrule the engineers. Let that oil life meter go down to 1% before you change the oil too! And don't modify your car...
It's amazing how people throw out perfectly good oil as well. Again, the oil isn't anywhere near "acidic" so come up with a new reason to tell people why to do it. Other than "the manufacturer says..."
you can get a brand name filter and 10 quarts of full synthetic for much less than $100 too...
It's just a waste of money. Just like the people that change it before winter storage and after. These same people never flush their brake fluid either.
I like how Castrol puts on the bottle "up to 25,000 miles or 1 year"
he said the oil will have a "considerable buildup of acids", which isn't...
There's also more friction because the oil isn't warmed up yet
Also, wouldn't a non fully expanded piston seal worse and make LESS power?
Mustang7g, the source for old wives tales!
It doesn't. Once your throttle is wide open your "intake" extends all the way to the air filter
either way it's not wheee the runners or fuel or so it doesn't matter. It's not a car spacer.
