There have been some funny vids of people draining the oil on some old POS cars and seeing how long they run. It's really amazing, but it is usually not under load.
That was a strange thing about some bike tyres.
The arrow shaped tread on the rear looked like it would drain towards the centre of the tyre when correctly fitted, which seemed non intuitive. But the manufacturers explanantion was that the front tyre tread is designed to drain water outwards...
My biggest fear on bikes was loose crap falling off trucks and such. It's not much better in cars. We had a young guy killed when low lifes threw a boulder off an overbridge and through his screen.
I gave no warnings for insecure loads.
We went to a beach pub for lunch yesterday. When we came out there was a Camaro SS L next to mine, and a '65 Pontiac Catalina nearby.
OK, I'm biased, but I prefer the look of an S650 over the Camaro, being yellow didn't help.
I'm not fussed about the time it takes. I tend to let the oil drain for a while anyway. I got used to this new fangled aero panels business with Euro cars. But I would think about better fasteners.
You can't pre fill VW EA888 filters, they're upside down and replaceable elements.
Something else I like about doing my own servicing is having a good look around under there to see if there's anything amiss before it becomes a problem.
