@MAT1955 ---good suggestion on keeping screen cleaning "supplies" in the car. The last few years (my former Focus RS and now the GT) I keep a lens cleaning cloth and bottle of lens solution (both made for plastic glasses lenses) in the car. Couple of spritzes and a few wipes and the screen is...
Can't say as I'm having any trouble turning stuff on/off or adjusting settings on the fly, but these "all on screen" controls aren't any better than knobs and buttons. They're just "different"; which isn't the same as "better".
PS: glossy screens + innumerable greasy finger prints = suck...

I lived and worked in Israel from June '04 to Mar '06. A number of my Israeli friends and associates were quite proud of their "free" health care and college. They also complained bitterly every payday about how little of their wages ended up in "their" hands. As a guest in their country; I...
My Focus RS's turbo four banger was GDI only. Several of our forum members reported varying degrees of intake valve carbon build up during engine tear downs. The amount of build up certainly seemed to be mileage related (more miles = more carbon build up).
I took the RS to Livernois Motorsports...
I ran Continental Extreme Contact DWS Pluses on my Focus RS year round for 3 years. No complaints at all including up to 6 ins of snow). Good luck with whatever you go with!
Try using a vinyl and/or leather wipe to reduce the scratches. Not aware of any protective material for them. Make sure you don't have any hard items/materials on your belt/hip when you enter/exit your car, and you might wish to modify your entry/exit technique to minimize rubbing on the bolster.
