  1. Why is This Car so Heavy?

The ZL1 was 3886 lb according to car and driver, the non-carbon fiber package GT500 is 4225lbs (with actual weights seeming to come in a little less than that)
  2. Ford approved garages for mods?

Ford won't care about the exhausts past the cats
  3. 2024 Mustang GT (non PP) - Autocross Temp Concerns

A few laps of a road course can overheat the auto trans in the Dark Horse models or the differential on the PP2 models...but for autox you shouldn't have any issues. Feel free to do any upgrades you want, though. Radiator, oil cooler, boxing the radiator in, brake cooling ducts, hood vents...
  4. 2024 Mustang GT (non PP) - Autocross Temp Concerns

None of those are in the danger zone
  5. Why is This Car so Heavy?

There's a thread over on Mustang6G about what individual stuff weighs Compared to the older car, things like wheels/brakes are bigger and those are heavier. The IRS is heavier than the old solid axle. As far as Camaro vs Mustang, the Mustang is larger overall. And the LT1 engine is a little...
  6. Auto Start/Stop killed by EPA rules deregulation

Guess who Ford is supposedly talking to? https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/ford-geely-talks-manufacturing-technology-partnership-sources-say-2026-02-04/
  7. Supercharger Coming in Spring- What Supporting Mods am I missing?

You don't need it for a single 1/4 mile pass but the street is another story. ECT basically starts going up when you do a pull so to help with detonation resistance and overall performance I want everything to be as cool as it possibly can.
  8. Well I am not used to this storage thing

I've heard "modern cars don't rust" a lot on the internet. Not sure where that comes from. And I've also heard "automakers started galvanizing steel body panels in the 80's so that's when they quit rusting". I guess that explains why there are so many rust free fox bodies and SN95's out there...
  9. Well I am not used to this storage thing

That's just to avoid the battery messages. Lots of dumb stuff in the manual like the maintenance schedule
  10. What tire setup for driving all year in Michigan?

You don't want or need a drag radial for daily use on a NA GT I wouldn't drive my Mustang in the snow/salt, but if you insist I would do a ECS/PS4 on aftermarket wheels in summer and a snow tire on stock wheels in the winter. You don't want a max performance summer tire in the winter or even...
  11. Resale value is sad, anyone know why?

I dunno man, I don't remember exact numbers but I was Mustang shopping right before Covid and they were damn cheap. They went up at least 50% in the next year or two.
  12. Putting your car away for the winter

Nope. Brand new snowblower, sat for one summer with gas in it from spring. Happens all the time up here in the north of the first day we get a snow storm. Now, remember they hold a lot less gas than a car, the tanks aren't sealed as good, etc. so you don't see it as often in a car that's...
  13. Putting your car away for the winter

Definitely not true - I have had to clean the goop out of my snowblowers carb/fuel lines. I run it dry now in the spring.
  14. S650 Weight

    It definitely is not.
  15. Auto Start/Stop killed by EPA rules deregulation

All it takes it the right (wrong?) politicians to allow Chinese cars into the US market without tariffs etc
  16. Rear tire size

How so? Your car doesn't know what size wheels are on it.
  17. Suspension Upgrade Questions

The stock GT shocks are pretty crappy, as I already said it's worth upgrading them.
