  1. 2026 Mustang - Stop / Start still there

What does it matter if it does? It is easy to defeat in the setup.
  2. Stage 2 Whipple kit installed, first pulls (on 2024 Mustang gt PP1 A10)

If you want the best times, switch to Drag mode. Read the manual first so you know exactly how to make the line lock work, and wham! I can't speak for the A10 in your GT, but in the Eco-Boost the shifts are nothing short of butt-kicking!
  3. Building a 2025 mustang gt s650 - recommendations?

The afore statement about money is true. And it isn't just a few bolt-on parts either. In the long run, it is better to put the money in the up-front purchase rather than trying to built a Dark Horse out of a non Premium GT. The reasons are numerous and should be obvious as well.
  4. Karma

The very best dash cam videos come from Australia and New Zealand via YouTube. Here's an example: Be warned as even the ladies get a bit profane at times.
  5. Whew!

I'm of the opinion that no two jurisdictions use the same over-speed-limit enforcement technique. Where I live, the police department is short by about 10 officers. Thus to get a speeding ticket is rare unless you're also acting like an idiot. As for me, I just use the 80% rule, but there are...
  6. Top Mods You DON'T Need a Shop to Install - S550/S650

Here is my issue with the mods: I can use a creeper to easily access the underside of my '19 Ranger, but that same creeper almost won't go under my '24 Mustang. I do have a lift (it is not a floor jack), but the lift itself would prevent installing most of these mods. And I don't own a high...
  7. Valentine One Radar Detectors

Many years ago, I did buy a radar detector, but gave it up due to too many false alerts (yes I know they're much better these days). Nonetheless I've never gotten a speeding ticket because I don't give the agencies a reason to stop me!
  8. Watch how close FOB is to car...

I agree the FOB is a bit too sensitive even at a distance, yet I like the idea of being able to start the car from a fair distance away. These functions aren't directly related, but lose one and they other might go away as well.
  9. Anyone else struggled deciding between EcoBoost and GT for daily driver?

I've watched this thread for a while, knowing full well the GT would get most of the votes. Now, however, I wonder what the vote would be for a new buyer if the Ford Performance Tune was a factory option. I suspect if it was, a lot more Eco-Boosts would be sold, especially so if we're talking...
  10. Ordered my Whipple!

I'd bet it is a case of supply vs. demand. If the rumors are true, and Ford offers a V8 F150 with a factory Whipple, that certainly would cripple the supply.
  11. Would anyone like to see Ford use the 7.3L Godziila V8 in a Mustang, resurrecting the Boss 429?

Blow enough air into any engine, and you'll have a winner if you can keep it in one piece! Heck, there are guys out there getting upwards of 600 horse power out an a 2.3L Eco-Boost. Let's keep what we got! If I wished for anything, make both the Eco-Boost's tune and the V8 Whipple packages a...
  12. Cheap HP, full time fan?

I've had three of my various turbos with fans mounted for extra cooling, and they are as effective as adding a larger intercooler—if you can! Sometimes there just isn't room to go bigger. In fact, I once replaced an air-to-air with a water-to-air because there was more room for the WTA...
  13. Multiple Mustangs in your family ?

There is one thing rarer, and that is RHD vehicles in the USA!
  14. Ford Performance Tune add-ons

Yes it does help, but it adds turbo lag. After owning a dozen or so turbo cars (both stock and add on), any add-on has an effect on performance, depending on what you're trying to achieve. Street wise, most of the time add-ons are a waste or resources.
  15. Ford Performance Tune add-ons

If you're thinking of adding after-market additions to your 2024 Eco-Boost Mustang as an adjunct to the FPT, here is something you need to know. At least two companies offer larger (?) intercoolers, with their only real advantage is the fact their end connections are aluminum rather than...
  16. Question about center display

Well, I did figure it all out, and it does require CarPlay. And a few things you don't want to have happen such as sharing your contacts! That won't happen!
  17. Auto folding side mirrors

I wonder about this as well. In the case of the Ranger pickups, it is a trim level issue only on the Lariat models (at least in 2019). Other Ford vehicles have it as well. Alas, the Mustang bean counters have ruled supreme once again!
  18. Question about center display

My iPhone is connected via BluTooth, but I'll hard connect it to see if that changes things. In any case, everyone enjoy the holidays. I know I will!
  19. Question about center display

What is funny about this is, there is on-line instructions from Ford. It says to go to Settings, Display, then Edit, but in my Mustang Premium, there is no Edit function. To boot, there is a YouTube with a dealer showing the exact function. Weird to say the least.
  20. Question about center display

Based solely on YouTube videos, certain trim levels allow users to customize the center display with personalized photos. Look as I might, I cannot find which trim level offers this. Does any one here know? Thanks and Merry Christmas.
