I think that is what he is saying, but I never noticed it happening with my car, so when it was finally cooled off, and I got tired of the fan blasting so hard, I would tap that auto button again down to 2 or 1 or hit the fan speed to turn it down even lower sometimes.
Pity. That stinks. The government should protect recreation areas. Homeowners who move in and complain should have their homes bulldozed and be left homeless. Just my two cents.
My state passed a law to protect shooting ranges from these shenanigans.

The instructors (required for new HPDE drivers) in the passenger seat do a very good job of keeping you on the track and safe while also eventually pushing your limits. They are usually very experienced and get a good sense of you and what you can handle, and will be pushing you beyond what...
I am reading your entire thread but just got to this post.
I have never autocrossed, but I took my Dark Horse to an HPDE track day at Road Atlanta, three days after delivery, two weeks ago, and pulled the following:

They typically came with smaller port sizes in the heads, e.g., Pontiac's heads v. Chevrolet big block rectangular port heads. The former made a large amount of torque at a lower rpm but ran out of breath at the high end.
Pontiac 455 had 4.21" stroke, Chevrolet 454 had 4" stroke, but the...
Stroking an engine does result in more torque, but the cubic inches are no longer equal. In fact, many times the stroker crank is installed with an overbore for even more cubic inches. Lots more torque and power.
There are other issues with a small bore, of course, shrouding of the valves...
In February there were 37 available nationwide, including 1 in Hawaii. This is June almost July.

You have a manual. Downshift.
Peak torque is at 4,900 rpm, so maybe start around there, try to get it around 5000 rpm or so. As you get used to the car, that will be almost automatic without too much thought about the proper gear selection.
If you are driving WOT, I cannot think of a good...
I tracked my Dark Horse (handling package and Trofeo RS tires) days after taking delivery, and it was great! Those tires are very sticky, and the brakes are awesome, allowing a very late braking at each turn.
Mine is an automatic.
I am seriously considering adding a Whipple later.
This is...
