What you found on the net is not wrong, it just isn't really how things go here. Sheriffs are elected officials, and they are not going to piss off their voters. Georgians are really against unmarked cars, which has a lot to do with history here and corruption and small towns making their...
Two years ago, in the bad old days before tuning, one of our members here was running 12.0 on stock tires.
"Hopefully get to run mine again soon, I kept running 12.00s but It was short shifting gears really bad.
trap speed wants 11.7s and this is on stock continentals… full weight untouched...
That's a great result (it is), but the OP is asking about OEM down to the tires.
I do wonder if you could have gotten a 10.99 with headers.
No weight reduction? Just a tune, E85, and a sticky tire?
I am not sure whether you think your simple Google search means I am full of it.
There is also O.C.G.A. 40-1-7, which says each vehicle shall have overhead blue lights if it is used for traffic enforcement, each sheriff's office and each city PD can have one without roof mounted lights and...
Yep. I just have to buy a good floor jack. Install jacking rails or jack pads. I have jack stands already. :like:
So, not so easily.
I had a great, heavy, 3.5 ton floor jack. I cut down a bunch of trees on my land, and I was using the floor jack to get the trees up off the...
S550 drivers report over at TrackMustangsOnline that they get something called Ice Mode when they use sticky tires and high friction brake pads on track. The ABS activates and reduces their braking ability. The S197 cars were really bad about it.
Sure beats having to keep your foot on the gas pedal and pushing it and releasing it to get the carburetor's accelerator squirters to shoot more gasoline into the intake plenum to keep the cold engine running.
Any of you who daily drove your Holley performance carbureted cars with no choke know...
Wow, I have 305 on the front (on my stock wheel) with that same tire, and it is a lot for the front. I have 315 on the rear.
According to Tire Rack, the 305 has 11.5" tread width. The 315 is only 0.2" wider at 11.7".
I was more concerned about CHT and oil temperatures than IAT. Are changes made to keep these two temperatures down or is the stock radiator sufficient?
I will definitely check out the Youtube channel for prior cars being tracked with superchargers. I was unaware of this history of...
